Each short story will focus on different characters: the first one centers on Reki, Langa and Miya, the second follows Shadow, the third focuses on Joe and Cherry and the last one is centered on Adam and Snake. The OVA is produced by Studio Bones with a returning cast from season one, which includes creator Hiroko Utsumi (also creator of Bucchigiri?!) and series composer Ichirō Ōkōchi (creator of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion).

In the main Japanese cast, Tasuku Hatanaka once more takes on the role of Reki Kyan, Chiaki Kobayashi reappears as Langa Hasegawa, and Takehito Koyasu returns to play Adam again. Additionally, Takuma Nagatsuka, Kenta Miyake, Hikaru Midorikawa, Yasunori Matsumoto (twice mentioned, perhaps a typo), Yasunori Matsumoto, and Kenshō Ono reprise their roles as Miya, Shadow, Cherry, Joe, and Snake, respectively.

What is SK8 the Inifinity About

2021 saw the premiere of “SK8 the Infinity,” a 12-episode first season, which is an original animation by Studio Bones and creator Hiroko Utsumi. The series director’s past work on “Banana Fish” and “Free! Eternal Summer,” as well as the storyline itself, drew in the fujoshi fanbase, making the anime a success, although not exclusively so.

The narrative centers around Reki, a young skateboarder, who finds himself unwittingly thrust into the high-stakes competition called “S”, typically reserved for skaters. Accompanying him is Langa, a snowboarder with no prior skating experience. As they team up, they confront formidable opponents and even advanced robotics in their exhilarating skateboarding adventure, which resembles a rally race.

In simple terms, Aniplex of America secured the rights for this series within the U.S., while Funimation (now known as Crunchyroll) began streaming the show synchronously with its Japanese debut. Furthermore, Funimation offered a SimulDub version of the series.

SK8 the Infinity is available on Crunchyroll, both subbed and dubbed.
