Embark Studios has announced that a major update, called Flashpoint, is coming to ARC Raiders on March 31st for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The update will include a variety of new content, such as a new enemy type, two new weapons, and challenging new map conditions, according to a recent blog post from the developers.
At the start of the year, Embark shared its plans for ARC Raiders with a roadmap for 2026, detailing four big content updates: Headwinds, Shrouded Sky, Flashpoint, and Riven Tides. The Headwinds update introduced a new, and somewhat debated, 1v3 matchmaking mode, along with a unique map challenge in the Buried City. Last month, the Shrouded Sky update added a dangerous Hurricane map condition and two powerful new enemies. While Riven Tides, which will include a new map and a massive ARC enemy, isn’t due for another month, the Flashpoint update is launching this week, and players have a lot to anticipate.
ARC Raiders Unveils Big Flashpoint Update
Embark has announced details for the upcoming Flashpoint update for ARC Raiders, launching on March 31st. A key addition is ‘ARC Operations,’ a new map condition that will feature reduced loot but a heavily guarded ARC Assessor. This Assessor holds valuable items, but players will face increased ARC presence and competition from other players to claim them, so bringing your best equipment is essential.

Following last month’s update which added two new enemies to ARC Raiders, a new and dangerous foe, the Vaporizer, will soon appear on Topside. Embark Studios hasn’t confirmed if the Vaporizer will be present everywhere, but says it’s been seen near operation areas. As its name suggests, the Vaporizer attacks with powerful lasers and has unique attack patterns. Players will need to prepare and equip themselves to face this latest, highly dangerous ARC enemy, joining the Firefly and Comet as major threats.
In ARC Raiders, the toughest enemy, the Shredder, is no longer limited to the Stella Montis area. Due to a recent change, players can now encounter it on Blue Gate, Buried City, Spaceport, and Dam battlegrounds when certain map conditions are met.
Embark is updating ARC Raiders with two new weapons and a new item. The Canto is a submachine gun perfect for close-range fights, using medium ammo to help players take on the ARC. The Dolabra is an energy shotgun that can fire either a wide blast or a focused beam of electricity. Players can also deploy the new Surge Coil, a device that periodically sends out electric shocks to anything nearby.
The game is getting some major crafting improvements to make building your gear easier. Players will now be able to quickly find and acquire missing crafting materials without having to switch between different menus. A convenient list of sources – like recycling, refining, or buying – will appear whenever something is needed. Additionally, Scrappy the rooster is getting an update! Players can now feed Scrappy to expand the variety of loot he finds and increase the value of the items he drops, as long as they keep him fed.
