Kid Buu Was The Ultimate Equal To Goku

The final showdown of the Buu Saga pitted Goku against Buu, who had finally transformed into his original form after millennia. While not Buu’s most powerful state, this version was incredibly dangerous because of its unpredictable, destructive madness.
Watching Goku fight as a Super Saiyan 3, it always seemed like he and Kid Buu were pretty evenly matched in terms of raw power. The real difference, though, was that Kid Buu could just keep going and going. Even though they were equal, Goku couldn’t maintain that Super Saiyan 3 form for long – it took too much energy. That’s why he had to back off and gather energy for the Spirit Bomb. Honestly, Kid Buu was the perfect opponent to test Super Saiyan 3, pushing Goku to his absolute limit.

The Tertiary Occulus Awoke An Immensely Powerful Form

The Demon Realm saw a continuation of the series’ exciting power increases. But things took a dramatic turn with the discovery of the Tertiary Occulus – an incredibly powerful artifact that greatly enhanced whoever wielded it. King Gomah’s stunning transformation was the clearest example of this new level of power.
Gomah fought both Goku and Vegeta simultaneously, and managed to withstand their powerful Super Saiyan 3 attacks. While Gomah wasn’t actually stronger than Super Saiyan 3, his incredible toughness and ability to quickly heal made him a difficult opponent. This ultimately forced Goku to unlock his Super Saiyan 4 form.
The Ultimate Form Was The Strongest In The Buu Saga

I always thought Gohan had incredible hidden power, a natural ability that let him get surprisingly close to Goku and Vegeta’s strength without putting in quite as much training. It was clear he had a ton of potential, and in the Buu Saga, we finally saw it unleashed when Elder Kai brought it all out, making Ultimate Gohan the most powerful boost from anyone who hadn’t fused.
This led to the birth of Ultimate Gohan, who was, at the time, the strongest character in the series without needing to fuse with anyone. His fight with Super Buu clearly demonstrated his incredible power. When Super Buu absorbed Gohan, he became Ultimate Buu, a villain so powerful that even Super Vegito had to intervene – a testament to just how strong Ultimate Gohan had become.
Kefla Would Have Made A Great Rival For Super Saiyan 3

Kefla’s transformation is arguably the most debated and fascinating on this list. The Kefla from the anime and the one from the manga appear to have significantly different power levels. Anime Kefla lost to Goku when he was using Ultra Instinct Sign, while manga Kefla fought Ultimate Gohan to a standstill.
If what’s been suggested is true, this new form is likely a bit more powerful than Super Saiyan 3, making her a strong contender. Super Saiyan 3 is already around the same level as Ultimate Gohan, but slightly weaker. Therefore, this form and Super Saiyan Kefla appear to be roughly equal in strength.
