Cooling Towers
In the northern part of Area 99, Cooling Towers stand out as the primary point of interest. Strategically situated for seamless transit among various other key locations, this area features three distinct towers numbered for identification. Tower 1 offers protection and a clear vantage point over the vast desert expanse. Meanwhile, Towers 2 and 3 are advantageously positioned to manage enemy escapes from the Reactor Point of Interest.
If an attack occurs, players have the option to jump from the western edge of any tower and land in a deep ditch. These ditches then branch off, heading either south towards the Reactor or north to Mannequin Assembly, offering stealthy routes for players to evade detection.
Test Site
The Test Site can be found in the northeastern region of Area 99. This point of interest is an expansive, open desert that demands players to navigate without attracting unwanted enemy attention. To boost your chances of survival, it’s advisable to swiftly gather your gear and make a beeline for a nearby structure, as the area offers minimal cover, exposing you not only to other players on ground level but also to those stationed on higher vantage points in the vicinity.
Bunker
Underneath Test Site, you’ll find the Bunker POI, a labyrinthine structure with cramped corridors and numerous chambers, giving it a self-contained mini-map feel. Due to its tight quarters and frequent one-on-one skirmishes, keeping an eye on corners is crucial. To safely leave this area, you can use the stairs or vertical ascenders, but beware of possible ambushes. Navigating swiftly and avoiding being pinned down are vital for survival here.
Reactor
The Reactor is the bustling heart of the map, perfect for intense and critical encounters. This Point of Interest (POI) features numerous rooms spread across a sizable area, allowing players to prepare gear and enjoy both indoor and outdoor vertical gameplay. In this strategic locale, gamers can seize the upper hand by ascending to the rooftop for superior sniper positioning, providing an expansive view of the surroundings. Nuketown Shipping
Nuketown Shipping is situated on the west side of Area 99. This landmark can be incredibly beneficial if there are no adversaries present, but it’s almost certain to be a perilous situation if enemies are around. It boasts a lengthy, sandy road with multiple exposed sides, making it ideal for offensive maneuvers or traversing the map, particularly when using a vehicle. The sand-filled houses can offer temporary refuge if an enemy spots you from the Reactor POI. Due to its lower elevation, you can momentarily conceal yourself to move closer to the central area and ambush those lying in wait. The optimal strategy here is to divide your team to prevent being herded by opponent players.
Pods
Nestled on the western periphery of Area 99, the Pods deliver an immersive Point of Interest (POI) experience, characterized by their snug, interwoven layout. Equipped with multiple tiers and closely situated rooms, survival hinges on swift movement, mastering Omnimovement, and being attentive to enemy footsteps and assaults. Although the insides offer some concealment, they also restrict maneuverability, making it challenging to react promptly during an attack. However, its high ceilings afford a wider vista for strategizing escape routes or identifying missing adversaries. This POI is perfect for swift resource gathering, equipment collection, and confronting nearby players.
Manufacturing
Even though Reactor seems larger, it’s the Manufacturing Point of Interest (POI) that boasts the biggest ground area. Externally, there’s plenty of room for maneuvering and launching attacks on adversaries with reduced vulnerability, making it an excellent spot for gathering crucial information to navigate the map effectively. The rooftop offers two distinct heights, both beneficial for scavenging resources and readying for conflict. Nonetheless, be aware that the upper level increases your visibility towards enemies.
Within, the space seems tailored as a bustling Multiplayer battlefield. The interior provides a generously sized combat arena with numerous entry points, perfect for intense close-quarters battles. Remember to watch out for sniper positions around corners, and always have an escape plan at the ready to prevent getting cornered.
Warehouse
Situated at the southernmost tip of the map, the Warehouse boasts a colossal construction with an extensive top floor, serving as a strategic stronghold to dominate this region and potentially secure victory in the match. Despite offering considerable protection, the rooftop is lower, making it more visible to adversaries perched on higher ground. Nevertheless, the interior offers plenty of room for navigating and dodging attacks, especially when employing tactical gear for defense.
Loading Bay
Similar to Nuketown Shipping, the Loading Bay Point of Interest features sparse structures, some of which are damaged or hidden beneath sand, offering numerous chances for strategic gameplay. Leveraging the different levels in the vicinity provides excellent concealment from adversaries and a superior vantage point over the southeastern part of the map. If you sense someone is trailing you, utilizing the wrecked buildings as cover can be an effective method for arranging a surprise ambush on your pursuers. This location is adaptable, accommodating various loadouts and weapon types, but be wary of snipers who might aim at you from afar if you’re too exposed.
