How to Sign Up for the Arc Raiders Playtest

As a seasoned gamer with a decade of experience under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from the rise and fall of gaming giants to the birth and death of countless games. When Arc Raiders announced its playtest sign-ups, my heart skipped a beat! Extraction shooters are my jam, and this one looks like a doozy.

After unveiling its latest gameplay trailer showcasing a band of scavengers exploring a desolate desert landscape to gather resources and engage in fights against rival scavengers and robots, excitement for Arc Raiders is at an unprecedented peak. As someone who appreciates the extraction shooter genre, I’m already hooked! However, I understand not everyone may share my trust in game studios. If you’re curious about this upcoming title, here’s how to register for the Arc Raiders playtest to get a firsthand experience of the game!

Where to Sign Up for the Arc Raiders Playtest

At the moment, there’s only one method available for signing up for the Arc Raiders playtest, and that’s through Steam. On the game’s store page, look beneath the trailers and screenshots to find a gray box labeled “Join the ARC Raiders Playtest.” Inside this box, you’ll see a green button labeled ‘Request Access.’ Click on it, and you’ll send a notification to the studio.

As a gamer, I’ve got to be honest here – just because you sign up doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get early access to the extraction shooter when the playtest starts. Historically, it seems like signing up for Steam playtests is pretty much a roll of the dice, with developers randomly sending out access codes in large batches.

Lastly, there’s no word yet on a playtest for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.

Do We Know When the Playtest Starts?

The recent playtest session for Arc Raiders was held in late October and concluded then. It’s unclear if there will be another test, but towards the end of their fresh gameplay trailer (which you can watch above!), they encourage viewers to register for the playtest, hinting that a new one may be on the horizon.

It looks like Arc Raiders could be an ideal game to experience on the upcoming Xbox Portable device, which Phil Spencer has confirmed is genuine, although it’s still several years from release.
