The danger feels more intense than ever in this Life is Strange story. While it might not be the absolute highest stakes the series has seen, Max and Chloe are still facing a life-or-death situation as they attempt to stop a fire at Caledon University in Life is Strange: Reunion.
As you follow Max and Chloe’s journey and uncover their secrets, you’ll also be working against the clock to save as many people as possible before the game ends. Saving everyone unlocks the best possible ending and earns you a rare trophy or achievement.
If you’re aiming to get everything out of the game on your first or second try, keep reading! This guide will show you how to save all the important characters in the final scenes and easily unlock the Platinum Trophy or achieve 100% completion.
This guide contains major spoilers for Life is Strange: Reunion, so be warned! For the best experience, we recommend playing through the game once without knowing what happens, and then trying to achieve a perfect ending where everyone survives on a second playthrough.
How to Save Everyone in Life is Strange: Reunion
Loretta

Honestly, Loretta’s the easiest character to protect, even if you’re totally distracted by the main mystery! I’ve been playing, and I don’t think anything you do early on, like trying to keep her from going to the Mabon party, actually changes her fate. It’s pretty neat how easily you can keep her safe, even while focusing on other things.
To rescue Loretta, you need to prevent Ren from starting the fire. During the scene at the Snapping Turtle bar, when Chloe makes her decision, choose Ren as your main suspect and tell Noelle. If you do this, Ren won’t set fire to the building in Caledon, which means Loretta will be safe and won’t get trapped in the library.
Owen
Caledon’s new president had both inspiring and problematic visions for the future. However, despite his flaws, he doesn’t deserve to be murdered, especially not through a violent act like arson.
Surprisingly, saving Owen is much easier than you might think. Similar to how you saved Loretta, you can prevent Owen’s death simply by stopping Ren’s arson plans as Chloe. If Ren succeeds, Max and Owen will attempt to rescue students during the fire, but Owen will ultimately be declared dead at the memorial.
Anthony The Poet
Here’s an easy character to save. During the ‘Line of Fire’ scene, after you get the wrench from the custodian’s room, simply go to the boarded-up front entrance of the Everett Observatory.
If you approach the door, you’ll be able to use the wrench to break it down. This will let Max yell and tell any students trapped inside where the nearest escape route is.
Noelle
Noelle, the security guard who previously clashed with Chloe, becomes a key rescuer towards the end of the story – but only if you remember to do one crucial thing to keep her safe.
During the ‘Line of Fire’ scene, your priority is saving lives. Head to the custodian’s office to find a wrench and locate the water valves. Don’t forget to take the gas mask from the janitor’s cart! Give the gas mask to Noelle so she can safely rescue students and others who are trapped in the fire.
Jeanette
Remember to have already talked with Jeannette about her interest in applying to graduate school before the Cat and Max scene begins. It’s important that conversation has happened first.
It’s easy to overlook saving this person during the chaotic fire scene in Line of Fire – I missed it on my first try! When the Line of Fire scene starts, immediately go upstairs to the Observatory, and be sure to check the bulletin board on your right.
Checking the bulletin board reveals a form for help with graduate school application essays. This leads Max to believe Jeanette might be in room 112 of the Observatory. Later, when you meet Noelle, you can ask her to rescue Jeanette and share any other relevant information you’ve discovered.
Vinh
Okay, so I’ve been digging into Max’s story, really trying to find everything I could, even the little details. And let me tell you, if you do that, the game quickly points the finger at Vinh as the one who caused the explosion at Abraxas House. Seriously, it practically screams it! It’s a big clue if you’re following Max’s path.
In Life is Strange: Reunion, you can prevent Vinh’s death by choosing to accuse him during the Max’s Choice scene. If you do, a later scene after you put out Ren’s fire will show Max narrowly stopping Vinh from accidentally revealing a buried body while trying to cover his tracks.
Safi
And it now brings us to the trickier characters to save during the whole finale bit of the game.
The key thing to remember is that Max needs to tell Safi about the fire during a crucial decision in the Times at Turtle scene. This will build Safi’s trust in us, which is important for how things play out at the end of the game.

You’ll eventually reach the scene at the lighthouse where Safi teleports herself and Chloe to a nightmarish dimension. It’s then up to Chloe to prevent Safi from harming herself – to put it simply, to stop her from a self-destructive act.
During conversations with Safi, you’ll have different options for how to respond. To ensure Safi survives in Life is Strange Reunion, I suggest choosing the following dialogue options.
- “Max loves you.”
- “She told you about the fire.” (Again, make sure you’ve told Safi about the fire premonitions in the earlier scenes)
- “You’ve been hurting since Maya died.” OR “You got lost in your powers.”
- “She knows you can do better.” OR “Moms can forgive a lot.”
- “Fine. Let’s be B*stards” OR “We’re also alive.”
If you succeed, Safi will understand what’s happening and leave the lighthouse with Chloe. This will allow them to escape the Observatory fire with Moses. You’ll also unlock the “You’re Coming With Me” trophy/achievement for saving Safi during this part.
You’ll know you’ve succeeded and saved everyone when you reach the Memorial scene. If you saved all those you could, the memorial wall will display Noelle and Max’s heroic deeds, and the newspaper headline will confirm there were no major casualties. Shortly after Yasmin’s speech, you’ll also unlock the Super Max trophy or achievement.
