In essence, this game, named “Beastieball”, combines elements of sports Role Playing Games (RPGs) and creature collection games like “Pokemon”. The gameplay revolves around traversing a beautiful open world, solving basic environmental puzzles, and gathering and training creatures known as Beasties to create the perfect volleyball squad. Matches in this game are turn-based and occur on a grid, functioning as the combat equivalent.

Much like in Pokemon games, Beastieball involves players traversing various regions to challenge a series of bosses with the ultimate goal of triumphing in an exclusive tournament. Unlike Pokemon, however, players can choose their own order for tackling these bosses. With each defeat, the remaining opponents grow stronger, creating a progressive difficulty level. In addition to battling, Beastieball offers chances to interact with other Beastie trainers following defeats, providing additional information about the game’s narrative and background. The current version of the game includes more than 100 unique Beasties, optional missions called side quests, and online player-versus-player (PvP) interactions.
