As a seasoned detective with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the case at hand is as intriguing as it is complex. The web of characters and their intertwining actions have left quite an impression on me.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve found myself diving back into the thrilling world of The Rise of the Golden Idol, a sequel that offers an engaging narrative continuation from the original Golden Idol Case. Yet, even if you haven’t played the first one, this stand-alone adventure is designed to be enjoyed on its own merits. The gameplay retains the classic point-and-click, drag-and-drop mechanics I love, where I’m tasked with gathering lists of words and figuring out their correct arrangement in various texts, notes, and tales. It’s a puzzle-filled journey that keeps me hooked!
The game consists of several chapters, each progressively longer and more difficult than the next, so it helps to have a specific guide in addition to the hints already provided. Chapter Two includes a total of four chapters and is mostly exposition regarding the origin and whereabouts of the coveted Golden Idol. Spoiler Alert! The following guide contains complete solutions and major spoilers for the prologue and Chapter Two of The Rise of The Golden Idol.
Chapter Two

- the history and origins of the Golden Idol
In Chapter 2, you’ll find four distinct parts, making it one section more than Chapter 1 which contained just three. Certain characters and intriguing figures initially introduced in the prologue and Chapter 1 resurface, so feel free to revisit the previous character lists for potential hints.
Players can always access their unique word lists for each section by clicking on the “Words” icon, which is located at the screen’s bottom.

Overview
The final puzzle can be tackled with relative ease, though it comes at the end. Its simplicity lies in being able to deduce the sequence of events, even if not all the terms are found. Do pay attention to the current lunar phase and the specific calendar dates.
The completed text is;
The incidents happening at the Harmony Foundation on the 17th of August, 1974, tragically led to a fatality.
Events
In the given text, it’s clear that a murder has occurred, or the player has figured out that the enigmatic woman is burying someone in her Zen Garden. The text indicating these events has already been written.
‘Colleague’ visited ‘Historian’ to exchange an artifact for money.
During the meeting, ‘Colleague’ suddenly tried to rob ‘Historian’.
In response, ‘Historian’ sprayed ‘Colleague’ with hair spray and then pulled a rug.
As a result, ‘Colleague’ fell and hit a rock.
At the base of the screen, there are two areas labeled “Corkboard” and “Story,” which aren’t fully accessible at the moment. They currently have many empty and obscured sections that will progressively become clearer as the player advances through the game’s chapters.
