As the conflict in Warland escalates and with the emergence of Imu, it’s clear the Straw Hats will continue to grow even stronger before the final, major battles of the story truly begin. Recent events in One Piece strongly suggest they are preparing for a massive power increase.
Assessing The Combat Strength Of The New Emperor Group
When the Straw Hat Pirates achieved Yonko status, they weren’t the most powerful crew in the series. Many believed they hadn’t truly earned the title, as most of Luffy’s crew weren’t strong enough to compare to other Yonko crews. While Zoro and Sanji did manage to defeat powerful opponents like King and Queen, the outcome could have easily gone the other way. Beyond those two, the rest of Luffy’s crew simply didn’t have the strength or numbers to compete with established crews like Blackbeard and Red Hair, and lacked the overall power expected of a Yonko crew.
Despite everything, the Straw Hats aren’t the weakest of the Four Emperors in the world of One Piece, and that’s because of how much stronger they’ve become during the Elbaf arc. Their recent gains in power have truly established them as a force to be reckoned with among the Emperors.
How Eiichiro Oda Gave New Abilities To The Crew In The Land Of Giants
In the world of One Piece, Oda significantly strengthened most of the Straw Hat Pirates, helping them reach new heights. He focused on Luffy, ensuring he mastered Conqueror’s Haki and developed new skills, while also improving his control over his Devil Fruit powers.
I’m seriously hyped about the progress everyone’s making! Zoro’s still working on mastering Conqueror’s Haki, which is awesome to see. But Sanji? Wow, he absolutely crushed Killingham, dismissing him as if he was nothing! And Franky getting Super Vega Cola is incredible – he’s clearly reached a whole new level of power. But the biggest surprise for me is Chopper! It looks like he’s finally awakened his Devil Fruit, and he can now affect people around him with its abilities. It’s such an exciting time to be a fan!
Nico Robin proved her strength by defeating Saint Sommers, who could only avoid losing thanks to his ability to revive. Jinbe continued to demonstrate his dependability in battle. Surprisingly, Brook withstood a few attacks from Imu. Now, only Usopp and Nami remain, and they’re expected to become more powerful as the story progresses.
Why More Powers Are On The Way For The Straw Hats
It’s become obvious that Oda has given almost every member of the Straw Hat Pirates some kind of improvement during the Elbaf arc, truly making them a crew worthy of a Yonko. Usopp will likely receive his own power boost soon, but for now, Nami has become more skilled with Zeus, showing off some powerful new moves. However, it’s clear she still needs to become even stronger.
Eiichiro Oda will likely give each Straw Hat Pirate a significant power boost in the upcoming chapters, with all crew members becoming stronger during the Elbaf arc.

Gauging The Power Of Luffy’s Band Vs Other Yonko
After what happened at Elbaf, the Straw Hat Pirates are clearly more powerful than the Beast Pirates. They’ve likely become strong enough to challenge the Red Hair Pirates and the Blackbeard Pirates, potentially becoming one of the four strongest pirate crews – the Yonko – themselves.
As a huge One Piece fan, I’m so hyped for what feels like the final war! It’s going to be absolutely incredible and really test the Straw Hats like never before. And honestly, I don’t think we’ve even seen everything they’re capable of yet – I’m expecting them to unlock even more power once this war truly kicks off. It’s going to be a wild ride!
