Crimson Desert offers lots of hidden treasures and powerful weapons from bosses, including the Hound. Once you get the Hound, you can unlock the Hound’s Claws, a special Abyss Gear that works especially well with Spears and the Spinning Slash skill to help you manage groups of enemies.

Where to Get the Hound & Hound’s Claws in Crimson Desert
- Hound and the Hound’s Claws are obtained from defeating Hemon Beindel, found south of Hernand in Fort Hellwood.
- Hemon Beindel will only spawn at Fort Hellwood once players obtain the “Missing Relic” Faction Quest from “Hernandian Parish of Solumen”.
- This Hernand Faction Quest will be unavailable until you complete enough Hernand Faction Quests, so if you head to this location and there are no enemies or boss fights, then you just need to keep completing Hernand Faction Quests.
- Upon defeating Hemon Beindel, the Hound will be yours, and it has the Hound’s Claws Abyss Gear.
- You can head to any Witch (Like the one in the Witchwoods) to “Extract Abyss Gear” and put the Hound’s Claw in any other weapon.

- The Hound is a competent Two-Handed Weapon that has the potential to reach Attack 39 and Critical Rate Lv 3 if you reach the max Refinement level.
- It’s a fairly decent Two-Handed Weapon, but there are far stronger alternatives that you can find in the open world without having to rely on a Faction Quest-specific mission.
Hound’s Claws is a useful Abyss Gear because its activation – pressing R1 and X together – is identical to the Spinning Slash ability. This means it provides good damage to multiple enemies, but uses a significant amount of Stamina.
