How to Slide Down 50 Meters in Crimson Desert (Sliding Down the Slope)

In Crimson Desert, the ‘Sliding down the Slope’ challenge is a Sealed Abyss Artifact task where players must slide continuously for 50 meters. It’s trickier than it sounds because you have to complete the entire 50-meter slide in one go – you can’t break it up into shorter slides.

Essentially, the only way to succeed in this challenge is to locate a continuous slope exceeding 50 meters, which is harder to do than you might think.

You can find the Sliding down the Slope Sealed Abyss Artifact on a rock pile south of Hernand, located midway between the Goldleaf Trading Post and Bloomwood Ranch.

How to Slide Down 50 Meters in Crimson Desert

Sliding down the Slope Challenge

Crimson Desert features two starting areas where players can enjoy long, 50-meter slides without stopping.

  • Near the Howling Hill Camp
  • Near Reedwind Valley

Location #1: Howling Hill Camp

The path from the Howling Hill camp winds downhill through the mountains, heading towards the town of Hernand.

Location #2: Reedwind Vallley

This winding mountain trail takes you to Reedwind Valley, the location of your battle with the Reed Devil in Chapter 3.

While both locations could work, Reedwind Valley is better suited for this challenge because it has a steeper slope.

How to Slide in Crimson Desert

To slide in Crimson Desert, run downhill, quickly tap the crouch button to begin sliding, and then don’t press any other buttons until you stop.

  • On PC, press Shift to start running, tap C to start sliding.
  • On PS5, press X to start running, tap Left Stick L3 to start sliding.
  • On Xbox, press A to start running, tap Left Stick L3 to start sliding.

Pressing and holding the left stick (L3) on your controller will activate the Axiom Force ability instead of making your character crouch. Remember to just quickly tap the stick, don’t hold it down for too long.

In Crimson Desert, even riding a horse counts as sliding, and you can complete the sliding challenge while mounted. However, achieving a 50-meter slide on horseback is more difficult than sliding on foot, so it’s not the best approach.
