Boruto: 7 Times Kawaki One-Upped Boruto

A central conflict in the Boruto series revolves around the ongoing rivalry between Kawaki and Boruto. They consistently clash, with Kawaki believing Boruto should be eliminated along with Momoshiki. Boruto, on the other hand, is determined to save Kawaki and rebuild the Uzumaki family before it’s too late.

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Kawaki and Boruto are currently working together, but their competitive relationship hasn’t really disappeared. The series has highlighted several instances where Kawaki has outperformed Boruto, demonstrating that he’s often stronger in those situations.

Kawaki Deals More Damage to Jura Than Boruto in Land of the Wind

Currently, Jura is the most powerful enemy in the series, capable of defeating both Boruto and Kawaki at the same time. When Boruto Uzumaki fought Jura in the Land of the Wind, he was easily defeated.

Even Kawaki’s powerful Rasengan Uzuhiko couldn’t harm Jura, who embodied the Ten-Tails and easily blocked the attack. Just then, Kawaki showed up to help Boruto, equipped with new abilities that significantly boosted his strength, thanks to Amado Sanzu.

Okay, so the fight with Jura was intense! Kawaki didn’t just hit him with those chakra rods – he actually pierced him! And then he followed up with a huge onslaught of attacks, basically blasting a big chunk of the Shinju. It wasn’t enough to finish Jura off, but honestly, Kawaki really outperformed Boruto in this one. It was a rare moment where Kawaki clearly had the upper hand!

Kawaki Ends Isshiki Otsutsuki

Kawaki and Isshiki Otsutsuki have a shared past. Isshiki, through Jigen, drastically altered Kawaki’s life, hoping to groom him as a suitable host. He did this by marking Kawaki with karma and secretly training him to endure the immense power of the Otsutsuki clan.

Konoha’s help, combined with the unexpected betrayal of Amado and Kashin Koji, led to Isshiki losing Kawaki and ultimately being defeated. Surprisingly, it wasn’t Boruto or Naruto who finished off Isshiki, but Kawaki. He used a clever trick with a shadow clone to prevent Isshiki from finding a new host in time.

Kawaki Protects Naruto and Himawari From Delta

Delta, a member of the Kara organization, gets frustrated easily when things don’t go as expected. When Kashin Koji left her guarding Kawaki and Boruto outside Konoha, she quickly entered the village with the goal of taking Kawaki into custody and attacking Naruto Uzumaki.

As Delta battled Naruto, Boruto could only stand by and watch, relieved his father was shielding him, Himawari, and Kawaki. When Boruto tried to help, he accidentally made the situation more dangerous, causing Delta to target them – particularly Himawari.

Shortly after, Delta attacked Himawari with a powerful laser beam from her eyes. Naruto quickly intervened to shield his daughter, but Kawaki’s fast actions and smart thinking were crucial in preventing serious injuries to both of them.

Kawaki Opens a Space-Time Portal to Save Naruto

Kawaki is fiercely protective of Naruto. Keeping Naruto safe is his absolute top priority, and he takes it so seriously that it can sometimes seem extreme. While his dedication is impressive, it occasionally goes too far and becomes harmful.

I remember a moment in the series where Jigen somehow sent Naruto to another dimension. It was really Kawaki who saved the day, surprisingly. He managed to open a space-time portal to get him back, even though he’d never really used the technique before. Boruto, on the other hand, needed a lot of help from Sasuke and Naruto to build up the courage to do the same thing.

Kawaki Switches Identities With Boruto

Throughout the series, Boruto Uzumaki faced devastating losses, just as Momoshiki had predicted. He lost his parents, who were trapped in another dimension, and was even hunted by his former allies in Konoha. Beyond these external losses, Boruto also struggled with a crisis of identity, ultimately losing everything that once gave his life meaning and direction.

Unlike Boruto, Kawaki has been accepted as part of Naruto and Hinata’s family. Everyone, including Himawari and many Konoha ninja affected by Eida’s powers, believes he is their son and brother.

Kawaki Fights Borushiki on Equal Footing

Kawaki is a remarkably powerful ninja from the new generation, consistently demonstrating his abilities in battles against formidable foes. He’s even managed to fight effectively against Boruto Uzumaki when Boruto was possessed by Momoshiki.

During the intense battle of the Code Arc, Kawaki proved to be a match for Borushiki, skillfully using abilities he’d inherited from Isshiki – including the Kokugan, Daikokuten, and Sukunahikona – to gain the upper hand. He became so powerful that Naruto had to step in to prevent Kawaki from defeating both Boruto and Momoshiki simultaneously. However, Kawaki ultimately stabbed Boruto, seemingly killing him. While Boruto had agreed to this, the act still came as a shock to everyone present.

Kawaki Trades Cards With Boruto

Boruto doesn’t have much luck when trying to get the rarest cards from the Extreme: Shinobi Picture Scrolls collection. Surprisingly, even Sarada has had better luck – she got a valuable card on her very first try! This left Boruto feeling frustrated and jealous, especially after trying so many times and spending a lot of money without success.

Kawaki had a lucky draw and got a rare card of Minato, while Boruto predictably pulled a strong card featuring Naruto. Luckily, Kawaki wasn’t interested in Minato, so he happily traded his card to Boruto for the Naruto card.
