I’ve been having a blast in Crimson Desert lately, and everyone’s discovered this crazy way to basically glide around! It seems like a bug, honestly, but it’s so much faster than running or riding, and it lets you cover the huge world really quickly. We’re all enjoying it, but we’re also kind of bracing ourselves because we’re pretty sure the developers are going to fix it eventually.

Crimson Desert Gliding Trick Lets Players Get Across The Map Fast

Players are enjoying the vast open world of the game, but traveling across such a large map can be slow. Some have discovered a way to move faster using an unintended flying or gliding technique. Videos and posts on social media, including one from Reddit user DullEstablishment409, show the main character, Kliff, jumping high into the air and then gliding forward much farther and faster than normally possible in the game.

Performing this aerial maneuver takes a few steps. Start by jumping as high as possible to get the most distance. At the peak of your jump, deploy your crow wings and activate focus mode, which slows down time in Crimson Desert. Then, perform a forward aerial roll. Finally, exit focus mode while still airborne – this cancels out some benefits, but gives you a powerful boost, sending you flying forward at high speed.

To use this gliding technique in Crimson Desert, players first need to unlock a few skills. You’ll receive the crow feather cloak after finishing the “Woman in White” quest, which begins at the Ethereal Pathway. Once you can fly, you’ll also need an Abyss Artifact to learn the Aerial Roll skill. While not required, learning to double jump is highly recommended, as it lets you reach higher altitudes and extend the gliding boost’s range before activating the other necessary skills.

A fascinating and slightly concerning aspect of this new gliding technique is that it appears to be unintentional – a result of how the game works rather than a deliberate feature.
