As a seasoned Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War player with countless hours under my belt, I can confidently say that these powerful weapons are absolute game-changers. Each one offers unique advantages and synergies that make them stand out from the rest.
In the Zombies mode of the game, you have the freedom to carry a weapon with you. This means that any weapon within the game is accessible to you, not just those mounted on the walls or found in the Mystery Box. But remember, you can only bring one weapon, so you’ll need to carefully consider your choices.
There’s a lot to consider. Since it was introduced in ‘s Der Riese, the Pack-a-Punch machine has become an iconic staple of Call of Duty’s Zombies modes. Not only does it increase damage and change the weapon’s name, but many weapons get additional buffs like exploding bullets. These additional buffs can make or break the weapon you want to use.
Regardless if your goal is to finish an Easter Egg challenge, achieve a long Exfil mission, or simply test your limits, having the right tool for each task is crucial.
10 Cigma 2B
To Be, Ornot 2B
Weapon Type | Launcher |
Level Unlocked | 4 |
Pack-a-Punch Name | Ornot 2B |
This rocket launcher might not appear as the optimal pick at first glance, given its limited ammunition supply and possible risk of injury to the user.
Instead of Pack-a-Punch transforming the weapon into a regular Ornot 2B, it alters its characteristics significantly. The Ornot 2B now holds three rounds in its magazine instead of one, and operates on full auto mode. This weapon boasts one of the highest Damage Per Second (DPS) values among all weapons, making it an excellent choice for eliminating Manglers and Patient 13.
Regarding either the Cigma 2B or Ornot 2B, it boasts impressive area damage capabilities, implying that a strategically thrown rocket frequently decimates large groups of zombies in one go.
Obtaining the PhD Flopper Perk-a-Cola can be beneficial, as it helps you evade self-inflicted harm due to splash damage.
9 GPMG-7
Aiming Optional
Weapon Type | LMG |
Level Unlocked | 52 |
Pack-a-Punch Name | Jewel of the Drake |
The high magazine capacity of LMGs makes them great for mowing down a horde of zombies.
The GPMG-7 stands out due to its impressive firepower, boasting a rapid firing speed and one of the highest critical damage multipliers, resulting in a significant Damage Per Second (DPS) capability.
Not only does Pack-a-Punch transform this weapon into the Jewel of the Drake, but it effectively doubles its ammo capacity and boosts hip-fire precision considerably. With the added benefit of the Steady Aim Laser accessory, there’s seldom a need to use aim-down sights, enabling improved agility instead.
With this particular weapon having a long reload duration, it’s essential to have Speed Cola at hand. Moreover, the Electric Cherry augment of Elemental Pop enhances the weapon quite well.
8 SVD
The Best Of Both Worlds
Weapon Type | Sniper Rifle |
Level Unlocked | 25 |
Pack-a-Punch Name | Shadow Veil Demon |
This semi-automatic sniper rifle boasts both high damage and penetration power, similar to traditional sniper rifles, but it fires significantly faster than most other weapons in its category.
The Standing Veil Demon becomes exceptionally potent upon Pack-a-Punching, transforming into the Shadow Veil Demon. It acquires the skill to fire projectiles similar to a shotgun and enjoys a 20% boost in ammo capacity. This feature makes it an excellent choice for dealing with large groups, while its precision remains unaltered when aiming, making it equally effective against boss opponents as well.
This weapon performs exceptionally well when used alongside Deadshot Daiquiri, since the bonus boosts its critical hit damage. Meanwhile, the Dead Again upgrade syncs wonderfully with the shotgun’s pellets, as they frequently activate it for multiple instances per shot, resulting in a larger ammo supply.
To enhance mobility, consider utilizing attachments such as the Quickdraw Riser and Balanced Stock, and the Steady Aim Laser to minimize the spread of hip-fire when using your shotgun ability.
7 PP-919
That’s A Lot Of Bullets
Weapon Type | SMG |
Level Unlocked | 37 |
Pack-a-Punch Name | UR-N-TRBL |
As a fan, I’d say: Submachine guns (SMGs) in Zombies games are fantastic due to their mobility. However, they can burn through ammo quite rapidly. But fear not, the PP-919 addresses this issue brilliantly! It boasts an impressive standard magazine size of 64 rounds, which is even larger than some Light Machine Guns (LMGs)! Plus, it offers an Extended Mag option for even more firepower.
When activated through Pack-a-Punch, the gun transforms into the UR-N-TRBL and quadruples its ammunition capacity. This results in an unusually expansive ammo supply and excellent maneuverability. Although the fire rate per second (DPS) isn’t at its peak and the critical damage multiplier is extremely low, the weapon’s dependability compensates for these drawbacks.
For optimal damage output with this firearm, it’s advisable to pair it with Elemental Pop. Critical hits may not yield significant results for this specific weapon, so using Steady Aim Laser attachment becomes crucial. This accessory allows you to efficiently eliminate zombies while maintaining a good pace of movement.
6 GS45
Sally Returns
Weapon Type | Pistol |
Level Unlocked | 28 |
Pack-a-Punch Name | Sally/Sally & Forth |
In the game Black Ops 6, it’s seldom wise to opt for pistols as they are less potent compared to the array of stronger weapons now available. However, if you’re an experienced Zombies player, you might recall the iconic duo – Mustang and Sally.
In the game, Mustang and Sally were transformed into Pack-a-Punched M1911s, gaining the power to fire explosives. The GS45 in Black Ops 6 undergoes a similar change when Pack-a-Punched. When this happens, the GS45 takes on the role of Sally, also obtaining an explosive capability, similar to Mustang and Sally.
Unfortunately, there’s a trade-off as it decreases the magazine capacity by 40%, however, the enhanced firepower more than compensates for this reduction. If you equip the Akimbo accessory, it transforms into a dual-wielding scenario, effectively doubling your damage per second output.
This weapon excels at eliminating groups of enemies or battling powerful bosses due to its impressive damage output and wide area effect.
Using this weapon can easily lead to self-injury due to its area effect damage, making it essential to have PhD Flopper on hand!
5 Ray Gun
The Classic
Weapon Type | Wonder Weapon |
Level Unlocked | N/A |
Pack-a-Punch Name | Porter’s X2 Ray Gun |
As a die-hard fan, I’ve got to say that the original Wonder Weapon never disappoints! It’s reminiscent of Sally in terms of functionality, as it fires explosive ammo just like she does. However, what sets it apart is its punchier damage per shot and larger magazine capacity. On the flip side, it has a smaller splash radius and a slower fire rate compared to Sally.
Just like other Wonder Weapons, its scarcity cannot be enhanced; the sole method to boost its damage is by using the Pack-a-Punch machine. Regrettably, it doesn’t support ammo modification either. Upon activation through Pack-a-Punch, the Ray Gun transforms into the Porter’s X2 Ray Gun, effectively doubling its ammunition capacity.
The Ray Guns, whether in their respective forms, are always trustworthy and perform consistently well across various aspects, making them a dependable choice regardless of the circumstance.
PhD Flopper can be useful but isn’t needed with the Ray Gun as its splash radius isn’t too large.
4 AS Val
A Sneaky Surprise
Weapon Type | Assault Rifle |
Level Unlocked | 55 |
Pack-a-Punch Name | AS If |
This assault rifle boasts some hidden advantages. First, it significantly amplifies critical damage. When combined with its rapid-fire capability, this gun can reach exceptionally high Damage Per Second (DPS) values compared to most standard weapons. Additionally, it comes equipped with a built-in suppressor that raises the chance of salvaging more items.
One potential drawback is that it consumes ammunition at a rapid pace. But once Pack-a-Punched, it functions similarly to the “Multiplies-by-Three”, significantly expanding its ammo capacity, thus making it much more viable for regular use.
Deadshot Daiquiri significantly increases your critical hit damage, and may even return a small amount of ammunition. Consider using Speed Cola and Extended Mags too, as they help minimize the time you spend reloading with this weapon.
3 ASG-89
It’s Unending
Weapon Type | Shotgun |
Level Unlocked | 31 |
Pack-a-Punch Name | Munmu’s Protection |
With incredible force, this semi-automatic shotgun delivers an astonishing amount of damage, efficiently eliminating hordes of zombies. It also effortlessly tackles Elite and Special adversaries.
The weapon is exceptionally powerful due to its compatibility with Deadshot Daiquiri’s Dead Again boost. When aimed at head level, it can swiftly eliminate a group of zombies without needing reloading. In fact, you might find yourself with more ammunition than you initially had.
When Pack-a-Punched it becomes the Munmu’s Protection, doubling the magazine size.
Using the Target Laser reduces the dispersal of your shotgun pellets while aiming, making it easier to score headshots and activate the Dead Again feature.
2 DRI-11 Beamsmasher
A Headache For Zombies
Weapon Type | Wonder Weapon |
Level Unlocked | N/A |
Pack-a-Punch Name | Supersonic Crusher |
As an avid gamer, I’ve come across some incredible weapons in my gaming journey, but none quite like the one hidden on Terminus. This bad boy boasts not just one, but two firing modes! The primary mode unleashes a potent beam that packs a punch. However, it’s the secondary fire mode that truly sets this weapon apart. It not only slows down my enemies but also amplifies the damage I inflict on them, making every battle feel like a cinch!
By slowing down opponents, you can manage the tempo of each round more effectively, allowing for escape from tricky predicaments and providing moments to reload ammo or progress with Easter Egg tasks. The enhanced damage enemies sustain when weakened is especially beneficial against Manglers and Amalgams due to their considerably higher health levels compared to standard zombies.
To construct this weapon, you’ll need to locate the Easter Egg hidden within Terminus. The reason being is that the Wonder Weapon is essential for a crucial step in the process.
When Pack-a-Punched, it becomes the Supersonic Crusher, gaining a 50% increase in ammo capacity.
1 Thrustodyne M23
It’s Good Now!
Weapon Type | Wonder Weapon |
Level Unlocked | N/A |
Pack-a-Punch Name | Scramjet Model 3200 |
This Wonder Weapon returns from in a new and improved state and can be found on Liberty Falls.
As a thrill-seeking enthusiast, I can’t help but rave about this incredible feature that draws in the undead hordes towards its whirling turbine, annihilating them on contact! Yet, it seems that this devastating power doesn’t faze the elite, special, or boss enemies – they remain untouched and continue to pose a formidable threat.
In simpler terms, when the backup firing method is activated, it quickly expends all its ammunition to produce a massive blast. This explosion primarily affects enemies, sparing friendly forces.
The standout feature of this weapon, beyond its immense destructive capacity, is its self-replenishing ammunition. This eliminates the need for strategizing about purchasing ammo from an Ammo Cache or waiting for a Max Ammo power-up to drop. Its high damage output and inexhaustible ammo supply are tough to surpass.
