If you’ve never played Prop Hunt and haven’t had the experience of pretending to be a lamppost, only to stand out like a glaringly obvious object—I’m envious. Over time, this game has had me perform some interesting feats such as placing a car atop District’s marketplace in Call of Duty 4, and transforming into a bike on a map where bikes were scarce.

Over the years, we have seen many seasonal plans teasing a variety of new Call of Duty content in the upcoming weeks, yet this content isn’t always immediately released all at once.

It’s uncertain whether Prop Hunt will be introduced during a random week or as part of the midseason Reloaded update. However, it’s very likely that we’ll see Prop Hunt within the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for further announcements.

What is Prop Hunt in Black Ops 6?

In Prop Hunt, when you’re part of the attacking team, you should listen for audio clues and look for unusual changes in the map to locate and eliminate opponents disguised as ordinary items by shooting them and destroying their props. On the other hand, if you’re on the defending team, your goal is to camouflage yourself within the environment, use diversions and move around to dodge enemy gunfire and survive the round without being detected.

It’s as bonkers as it sounds, but the formula works. You get a finite amount of changes per round—as a defender—allowing you to metamorphose into a new item and a limited amount of stuns to bedazzle attackers. As an attacker, you have a gun, and a Grenade or two: So use your arsenal (and senses) wisely.

Destroying all defending players wins the round, or outlasting attackers gives the team the point.
