In Crimson Desert, the Desperate Challenge is a task where you need to heal three teammates using the Force Palm Healing skill. A quick way to do this is to play as Kliff, use Nature’s Grasp to knock down Damiane or Oongka with a tree, and then revive them with Force Palm Healing. Here’s how to do it.

You can find the Desperate Rescue Sealed Abyss Artifact north of Reedwind Valley, near where you battle the Reed Devil in Chapter 3. It’s located on a pile of rocks beside the road.

How to Heal 3 Allies Using Force Palm Healing in Crimson Desert

Desperate Rescue Challenge

To unlock the Sealed Abyss Artifact in the Desperate Rescue challenge, you need to heal three allies with Force Palm Healing. However, the healing only registers if your allies are actually knocked down – meaning completely defeated – not just injured with some health lost.

Okay, so this challenge is kinda weird. I need to get one of my teammates’ health all the way down to zero, then heal them back up using Force Palm Healing. The easiest thing to do would be to just drag a buddy like Damiane or Oongka to a bandit camp and let the enemies beat them up, but that takes forever and doesn’t always work if the bandits are weak. Honestly, it’s way faster and more reliable if I just do the damage myself to get them to zero health.

The easiest way to complete the Desperate Rescue challenge is through the following method:

  1. Progress the main story in Crimson Desert to Chapter 3: Howling Hill to unlock Damiane as a playable character.
  2. Open the character selection radial menu by pressing and holding D-Pad Up (Controller) or F1 (KB/M).
  3. Select Damiane and use the “Summon” Hotkey.
  4. Confirm the “Gather” selection to summon Damiane to your side.
  5. Go to a forest with Damiane and chop down a tree.
  6. Use Nature’s Grasp on the fallen tree trunk by pressing F + Left Click (KB/M), Y + B (Xbox Controller), or Triangle + Circle (PS5).
  7. Slam the tree trunk down onto Damiane to knock her health down to zero, forcing her into a downed state.
  8. Use Force Palm Healing by holding down Middle Mouse Button + Tab (KB/M) or R3 + L3 (Controller) to revive Damiane.
  9. Repeat this process two more times to complete the Desperate Rescue challenge.
  10. Interact with the Sealed Abyss Artifact in your inventory to obtain the reward.

If you’re low on Spirit and can’t use Force Palm Healing or Nature’s Grasp, use Kliff’s Focus to regain some.

In Crimson Desert, you can team up with several NPCs, including Kliff (as a companion), Damiane, Oongka, all of the Greymanes, and any prisoners you rescue from bandits or other foes.
