How to Find the Chocolate Factory in Crimson Desert
- The Gearmelt Factory is located in Delesyia, specifically in the northernmost point (north of the “L”).
- We’ve tagged the Gearmelt Factory location on the map above so you can find it in-game easily.
- At the Gearmelt Confectionery, you will need to liberate the area of hostiles, so make sure you’re bringing Recovery Items, as you’ll need to kill around 50+ enemies in the camp.
- After the camp is liberated, head into the factory below ground to begin the process of restarting it.
How to Restart the Chocolate Factory in Crimson Desert
Activate the Cacao Dispenser
- At the start of the chocolate factory, you will find a yellow crank.
- Interact with the crank with Square/X and hold Right on the D-Pad until it no longer moves.
- There’s now a slide crank that’s descended underneath the barrel, which you can push to the right with the Left Stick.
Activate the Cacao Roaster
- Continue down the track, where you will find a wooden panel with a yellow circle.
- Use L1 to aim, then press Triangle/Y to kick the wooden panel.
- After kicking the wooden panel, jump up to the lever just above the panel to grab it, which will be pulled down and activated.
Spin the Watermill to Get the Cacao Crusher Working
- Behind where you kicked the wooden panel, you’ll find another yellow crank wheel.
- You can grab the handwheel and turn it with the Right D-Pad button until the white waterwheel on the left begins to spin, so just keep holding Right D-Pad until the handwheel no longer turns.
Get Inside the Crusher
- Follow the track, and you’ll find a handwheel that cannot be operated.
- Opposite the handwheel is a wooden pressure plate, so stand on it and jump repeatedly to raise the valve.
- After jumping enough times, you can grab the valve and use Right D-Pad to turn it and activate a trapdoor.
Enter the trapdoor.
Use the Lubricant Sprayer to Stabilize the Machine
- Inside the trapdoor, head across the corridor to find the Lubricant Sprayer.
- Equip the Lubricant Sprayer by holding Left on the D-Pad and switching out your ranged weapon (Bow to Lubricant Sprayer with R2).
- Face the rusted gears in the middle of the corridor and hold L2 to aim, then R2 to spray.
- Continue shooting the gears until they’re shiny and no longer rusted, and they will begin to spin.
Activate the Chocolate Mixer
- Head out of the trapdoor and take the ladder up to the roof, where you can continue climbing ladders to find the Chocolate Mixer.
- On top of the Chocolate Mixer, you will find a handwheel that you can interact with.
- Turn the valve to the right with the Right D-Pad button until it no longer moves.
- Drop down, where below the handwheel is a new slide crank that you can push to the left with the Left Stick.
Activate the Chocolate Cooler
- Head back downstairs, where, to the right of the trapdoor, you can find the Chocolate Cooler.
- Interact with the pump and keep pressing Triangle/Y until the lever drops to the floor.
- Now, look up and climb the wall where the lever fell from.
- Press R2/RT while on the wall to stab it, then press L1/LB to hold on, then finally press X/A to shake the lever and force it down.
- Now, head into the trapdoor and venture across the corridor to find the Gearmelt Confectionery Pack.
How to Use the Gearmelt Confectionery Pack
- Equip the Gearmelt Confectionery Pack from your inventory, which will take up your backpack slot.
- Every 10 minutes, you can press Left on the D-Pad to get a Cacao Snack.
- Cacao Snacks will give you +120 Health, and can be sold for 5 Bronze Coins.
- There’s no downside to wearing the Gearmelt Confectionery Pack, so we recommend keeping it equipped and using it every 10 minutes for a free source of Recovery Items (and a chocolatey snack).
