Mods can come from chests, bosses, or Securement Silos, but the specific locations might change depending on which game situation you’re in.
Shrapnel Build
SOCR Last Valor Build | ||
---|---|---|
Item | Mod | |
Primary Weapon | SOCR – Last Valor | Shrapnel Souvenir |
Secondary Weapon | Recurve Crossbow | Spreading Marks |
Melee Weapon | Long Axe | Final Territory |
Helmet | Beret | Fateful Strike |
Chest Armor | Agent/Lonewolf | Any |
Gloves | Agent/Lonewolf | Crit Amplifier |
Pants | Agent/Bastille | Deadshot |
Boots | Scout/Lonewolf | Covered Advance |
Mask | Scout/Lonewolf | Shrapnel Carnage |
Deviant | Lonewolf’s Whisper |
In the initial gameplay scenarios for Once Human, Shrapnel-style builds became quite favored for a good cause. The Shrapnel weapon feature allows players to effortlessly shred through opponents as if they were made of paper. This particular Shrapnel build for Once Human makes a strategic tradeoff by forgoing weakspot hits to boost your critical stats, while also having Shrapnel automatically replenish ammo in your magazine when it lands on weakspots.
Power Surge
Once Human Power Surge Build | ||
---|---|---|
Item | Mod | |
Primary Weapon | MPS7 Outer Space/SOCR Outsider | Static Shock |
Secondary Weapon | Recurve Crossbow | Targeted Takedown |
Melee Weapon | Stun Baton | Shock Rampage |
Helmet | Mayfly Goggles | Deviation Expert |
Chest Armor | Shelterer/Heavy Duty | Any |
Gloves | Shelterer/Heavy Duty | Elemental Overload |
Pants | Bastille | Status Amplification |
Boots | Shelterer/Heavy Duty | Secluded Strike |
Mask | Shelterer/Heavy Duty | Thunderclap |
Deviant | Festering Gel |
Power Surge and Shrapnel share a similar gameplay style, focusing on rapid-fire attacks that deal Electric damage to your adversaries. In essence, you empty entire magazines into your foes, causing them to receive intermittent electrical blasts from your gunshots. While Shrapnel is more effective in PvE due to its status infliction, Power Surge shines in PvP as it reduces the accuracy of enemies, making it a preferred option if you favor Status Damage over Weapon Damage in competitive situations.
Jaws Unstable Bomber
DE. 50 Jaws Unstable Bomber Build | ||
---|---|---|
Item | Mod | |
Primary Weapon | DE 50 Jaws | Super Charged |
Secondary Weapon | Recurve Bow | Vulnerability Amplifier |
Melee Weapon | Any | Any |
Helmet | Lonewolf/Falcon | First Move Advantage |
Chest Armor | Vulture Shaman | Rejuvenating |
Gloves | Lonewolf/Falcon | Crit Amplifier |
Pants | Lonewolf/Falcon | Status Amplification |
Boots | Lonewolf/Falcon | Covered Advance |
Mask | Falcon | Reckless Bomber |
Deviant | Shattered Maiden/Festering Gel |
This “Once Human” Unstable Bomber setup offers a potent duo of destructive power. By pairing the Unstable Bomber with the DE. 50 Jaws, you benefit from its combination of status damage and high critical hit chances. This results in a highly effective, explosive gameplay style. It’s an ideal choice for both player-versus-environment (PvE) and player-versus-player (PvP) scenarios due to the DE. 50 Jaws’ ammo efficiency and its ability to deal significant damage when regular bullets fail to finish off enemies, thanks to subsequent Unstable Bomber explosions.
Unstable Bomber Sniper
Gulped Lore Unstable Bomber Build | ||
---|---|---|
Item | Mod | |
Primary Weapon | Gulped Lore | Super Charged |
Secondary Weapon | Recurve Bow | Vulnerability Amplifier |
Melee Weapon | Frozen Northern Pike | Frosty Blessing |
Helmet | Renegade/Falcon | Precise Strike |
Chest Armor | Explosive Front Top | Weakspot DMG Boost |
Gloves | Renegade/Falcon | Crit Amplifier |
Pants | Agent | Weakspot DMG Boost |
Boots | Agent | Covered Advance |
Mask | Renegade/Falcon | Point Detonation |
Deviant | Shattered Maiden/Festering Gel |
This Once Human Unstable Bomber sniper build is a slightly slower-paced version of the one above. Instead of the DE. 50 Jaws, this build uses the Gulped Lore Sniper Rifle, which has a stronger per-shot damage profile. Using this weapon in close-medium range is difficult, but not impossible, and it may even be the better Unstable Bomber build if you’re looking for raw damage. Make sure to aim for those weakspots!
LMG Fast Gunner
MG4 Predator Fast Gunner Build | ||
---|---|---|
Item | Mod | |
Primary Weapon | MG4 Predator | Shoot Out |
Secondary Weapon | Another MG4 Predator | Shoot Out |
Melee Weapon | Any | Any |
Helmet | Bastille/Falcon | Momentum Up |
Chest Armor | Bastille Falcon | Rejuvenating |
Gloves | Lonewolf/Scout | Crit Amplifier |
Pants | Bastille/Falcon | Slow and Steady |
Boots | Lonewolf/Scout | Covered Advance |
Mask | Dust Mask | Blitzkrieg |
Deviant | Lonewolf’s Whisper |
The Fast Gunner weapon effect buffs your gun’s damage and rate of fire, and what better weapon archetype to use such an effect on than light machine guns. When built properly, players using the MG4 Predator LMG can unleash a hail of roughly 200 bullets before needing to reload. This is often enough to burn through a massive chunk of a boss’ health bar or clear an entire room full of enemies. This Once Human Fast Gunner build requires a bit of investment, but it’s worth trying out if you’re a fan of rapid-fire weapons.
Swap Dust Mask with Oasis if you want more DPS at the cost of less ammo per magazine.
Burn Build
Once Human Burn Build | ||
---|---|---|
Item | Mod | |
Primary Weapon | KVD Boom Boom | Blaze Blessing |
Secondary Weapon | KAM Crank | Flame Resonance |
Melee Weapon | Frozen Northern Pike | Frosty Blessing |
Helmet | Shelterer/Heavy Duty | Deviation Expert |
Chest Armor | Shelterer/Heavy Duty | Any |
Gloves | Grill Gloves | Elemental Overload |
Pants | Bastille | Status Amplification |
Boots | Shelterer/Heavy Duty | Secluded Strike |
Mask | Shelterer/Heavy Duty | Blaze Amplifier |
Deviant | Pyro Dino |
This Once Human Burn Build primarily focuses on piling up Burn effects onto opponents, thereby amplifying the sustained damage you inflict, in addition to your standard bullet impacts. It may not be as effective against numerous smaller adversaries, but it certainly leaves a lasting impact on the health bars of formidable bosses.
If you prefer to concentrate solely on inflicting Burn Damage on a single target, feel free to use this build with only the KAM Crank. While KVD Boom Boom is effective for clearing groups, it’s not essential if your focus is on maximizing single-target Burn Damage.
