One Piece’s Newest Chapter Sets Up The Destruction Of Elbaph

Watching One Piece, it really feels like the Elbaph arc is wrapping up after all this time – over fifty chapters, in fact! It seems like just yesterday the Straw Hats arrived on the island and first encountered the giants. Things quickly escalated, and they ended up in a tough battle with the Holy Knights, who almost defeated some of the crew.

After a tough battle, the Straw Hat Pirates and their giant allies finally overcame the Holy Knights, leaving only one opponent remaining: Saint Nerona Imu, the world’s leader.

Imu Made Their First Full Appearance In Chapter 1179

The newest chapter of One Piece revealed that Imu has decided to travel to Elbaf personally. Seeing Loki and Luffy solidified this decision, as the two reminded Imu of both Nika and the Warrior God of Elbaf. Despite warnings from the Five Elders about the potential consequences, Imu refused to change their mind.

The arrival of Imu and their group was signaled by a mysterious circle appearing on top of Aurust Castle. Their presence also seemed to awaken the surrounding buildings, similar to the effects of Big Mom’s devil fruit power. A huge wave of Conqueror’s Haki then swept through the area, knocking many people unconscious. Finally, the chapter revealed the first glimpse of Nerona Imu.

Imu’s unique look is puzzling, especially when considering their ancestry. They have horns reminiscent of ancient giants, a demon-like tail, and hair similar to the Lunarians. It’s possible Imu is the last of a long-lost race, or perhaps their appearance is due to a Devil Fruit. Whatever the reason, it’s clear that Elbaph is facing a significant threat.

Elbaph’s Fate Hangs In The Balance

Even though the Holy Knights have been defeated, Elbaph is still in serious danger. As long as Imu remains alive, the country’s chances of survival are slim. Luffy is currently too exhausted to fight, leaving Loki as the only one with a possible chance against Imu. However, even Loki would face an incredibly difficult battle.

They’re almost guaranteed to try and eliminate anyone who stands against them, and Luffy is likely their first target. He’s already weakened and out of commission, and Imu has made it clear he wants Luffy gone – this is the perfect opportunity for them to act.

The Heroes Have To Fight Together To Save Elbaph

Imu hasn’t shown their true power yet, but that will likely change soon. It seems no one on Elbaf is strong enough to defeat Imu by themselves, so everyone will need to work together. This means the giants, the Straw Hats, and all their friends will have to team up to stop Imu’s destructive path.

If Elbaph is defeated, it would be a huge win for Imu, who has been working for centuries to conquer the nation. With the giants’ protectors gone, Imu could control Elbaf and force its people to serve them.

If Imu succeeds in his plans, the Straw Hat Pirates are likely doomed. As the world’s ruler, he knows they’re a threat and won’t allow them to continue their journey. While escape is possible, their chances aren’t good right now. Their best hope is to force Imu back to Marijoa.
