Despite being a very long story with hundreds of chapters, One Piece remains consistently engaging and avoids feeling stale. This success is largely thanks to Eiichiro Oda, the series’ creator, whose creativity has been key to its popularity.

Oda is currently writing the Elbaph arc, the second island the Straw Hat Pirates have visited in the Final Saga. Before the arc began, fans expected it to be good, but it’s turned out to be a masterpiece, and many consider it the best arc since Marineford.

Xebec was revealed, detailing how he gained power and ultimately met his end. The incident culminated in a massive battle between Xebec, Roger, and Garp. After Xebec was struck by Domi Reversi, Roger and Garp were forced to work together to defeat him, preventing him from wiping out everyone at God Valley.

The End Of Elbaph’s Greatest King

The Elbaph arc spends a lot of time exploring Harald’s life story. Before he was a renowned king, Harald was a troublemaker who constantly caused problems. But he turned his life around, becoming a dedicated leader who always put the needs of his people first.

The recent reveal of Imu’s full appearance confirms that the author, Oda, is now introducing the most important characters. For years, Imu’s identity was a mystery, but that changed during the Elbaph arc. The World Government’s ruler directly intervened, aiming to defeat Elbaph. By sharing more about the series’ ultimate antagonist, Oda has signaled that the story is quickly nearing its ending.

The Elbaph arc revealed a wealth of backstory, including the Harley Texts and more information about the Warrior God. The action sequences in this arc have been particularly impressive, featuring fantastic and memorable fights between many key characters. Considering how much important lore Oda has unveiled and how many major mysteries he’s addressed, it’s possible the One Piece manga is nearing its conclusion faster than many fans expect.
