In the game Crimson Desert, the ‘Touch of Darkness’ is a difficult challenge where players must eliminate three opponents in under a minute. It’s part of the Sealed Abyss Artifacts system.

To quickly finish the Touch of Darkness challenge in Crimson Desert, the best approach is to stealthily eliminate the guards stationed at the farms west of Flame Knight Castle, near the edge of Demeniss, during the nighttime.

Touch of Darkness Challenge

If you eliminate a target, it immediately warns all nearby enemies, ruining any attempt to silently take out multiple targets who can see each other.

To successfully complete the Touch of Darkness challenge, you must carefully assassinate enemies who are far apart. This prevents the entire camp from being alerted when you eliminate a single target – unlike most bandit camps where killing one enemy quickly warns everyone else.

To successfully eliminate three enemies one after another in Crimson Desert, it’s best to extinguish your lantern and wait until night falls. The darkness makes it much harder for enemies to detect you as you approach.

You’ll find enemies scattered around in a lot of different places. Here are some of the best spots to tackle this challenge:

Farms near Flame Knight Castle, west of Demeniss

Just west of Demeniss, near the Flame Knight Castle on the map, you’ll find several farms guarded by enemies who are easy to take out with stealth. The guards are spaced apart and often stand alone in fields with plenty of hiding spots, making it simple to sneak up on them, especially at night.

St. Halssius’s House of Healing

St. Halssius’s House of Healing is located east of Hernand and is heavily guarded. You’ll find guards with patients, at key entrances, and patrolling the perimeter. The building is very large, which means you can eliminate someone in one area without alerting guards in other parts of the complex. This makes it a good place to take advantage of if you’re trying to be discreet.

Use your unlit lantern to figure out who are the guards and who are the patients. You can only assassinate the guards.

Any Occupied Bandit Territory

When you clear out an area held by enemies, the last few will try to escape, shouting as they flee. You can chase and eliminate these fleeing enemies. If you’re quick, you might be able to take down three escaping enemies in a row this way.
