ARC Raiders Players Discover a Handy Bug That Protects Them From Fire Damage

A player in ARC Raiders discovered a bug that makes them immune to fire damage – if they perform certain actions. With the game recently adding the Firefly ARC type and other fire-based items to ARC Raiders, dying to fire is happening a lot. But it turns out there’s an easy way to avoid getting burned!

Embark has released the highly anticipated Flashpoint update for ARC Raiders, delivering a wealth of new content and improvements as outlined in their 2026 roadmap. Available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, the update introduces a challenging new map condition called Close Scrutiny, a dangerous new enemy type – the Vaporizer – and two new weapons for players to try. Alongside numerous bug fixes, the update seems to have inadvertently introduced a new, surprisingly popular bug that players are hoping stays in the game.

ARC Raiders Players Can Prevent Fire Damage by Dancing

The recent ‘Shrouded Sky’ update for ARC Raiders introduced the Firefly, and it seems to be sending a lot more players up in flames back to Speranza. However, a player on Reddit found a funny glitch: you can avoid fire damage by simply dancing! In a video posted online, the player takes down an enemy, then gets hit by a Fireball. Instead of taking damage, they start dancing, and the Fireball mysteriously does nothing. It’s a strange bug, but it works!

The video demonstrates the player avoiding damage from a Fireball, but it’s unknown if this also works against other fire sources like the Firefly or items like the Blaze Grenade. If it does, it could significantly change how players approach the game, though it likely means the developers will fix this bug soon. If you want to take advantage of it, now is the time before it’s patched!

It’s not uncommon for ARC Raiders to experience significant bugs, and players can likely expect more in the future. Despite positive reviews, millions of copies sold, and winning the Best Multiplayer award at the 2025 Game Awards, the game has had its share of problems. Since its October 2025 release, Embark has consistently worked to fix issues like weapons malfunctioning, players exploiting glitches, crashes, and user interface problems.
