How to Get Magnetic Cave Artifact in Stalker 2 (Spinner)

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing the dangerous and unpredictable landscapes of the Zone, I can confidently say that the Dangerous Visitors side mission in Stalker 2 is one for the books. It’s not an easy task, but the rewards – both tangible and intangible – make it more than worth the effort.

In the Stalker 2 game, the side mission named “Challenging Visitors” might pose a bit of a challenge to finish, but the incentives for wrapping it up are definitely worth the effort, in my opinion. Apart from acquiring some useful items, successfully completing this side quest will grant you access to the Magnetic Cave, where you can discover an intriguing Artifact known as the “Spinner”.

Keep reading to learn how to start (and complete) the Dangerous Visitors quest.

Starting the Dangerous Visitors Mission in Stalker 2

Once you master utilizing the Bolt in Stalker 2 to discover Anomalies, your next objective will be locating Zalissya (the main mission known as A Tough Awakening). On the map, look southwest for a distinctive spot marked as a Post Office.

There seem to be some unwanted creatures lurking near the structure, and it’s necessary to eliminate them. After ensuring the area is safe, venture into the depicted building to encounter a person known as Zhorik.

A

should point you toward the side mission activity.

Approach him and ask if he needs help locating his friend Gloomy, who is being held captive by some outlaws at a place known as the Boiler House. But remember, it might be wise to check Zhorik’s Stash beforehand for some handy items prior to venturing near their compound.

Stalker 2: Where is Zhorik’s Stash?

In simpler terms, if you’re moving away from Zhorik towards your blue side quest target, keep an eye to your left along the main path. You’ll spot a wrecked helicopter submerged in a marshy area. That’s where you’ll find the hidden Stalker 2 stash. However, be cautious as the radiation levels are quite high there, so it’s best to grab the stash quickly and move on.

As for the contents of Zhorik’s Stash…

  • Two pieces of Bread
  • Canned Food
  • Bandage
  • 9x19mm FMJ
  • Viper-5 submachine gun

After getting the loot, head east-ish to find the Boiler House.

Locating Gloomy in Stalker 2

To effectively converse with Gloomy, who resides on the second floor of the building, it’s necessary to eliminate the guards first as they stand in your way.

When conversing with him, select the dialogue option “[Gift] I have a tracking device” instead. This action will prompt Gloomy to reveal the position of one of his personal stashes, which is situated within a cave directly behind the compound, to the east side.

Stalker 2: Artifact in Magnetic Cave

Outside the main entrance of the Magnetic Cave, you’ll spot a wooden sign with white lettering. Enter within and you’ll discover a blue treasure chest – this one belongs to Gloomy, it’s called his Stash. Inside, you’ll find these listed items:

  • Water
  • Canned Food
  • Cossacks Vodka
  • Two Bandages
  • Medkit
  • 12x70mm Buckshot (ammo)
  • 9x18mm PST (ammo)

While it may seem like there’s not much else to explore in the cave, that is far from the truth.

Please proceed and fire at the red, explosive barrel situated beside wooden crates. This action will create a new path for exploration. As you advance, you’ll arrive at a room where flames emerge from the floor – this is when you should retrieve your Detector. As you draw near to the flaming room, the device will start to emit increasingly faster beeps as you get closer to the hidden Spinner Artifact.
