To begin Act 2 in Crime Scene Cleaner, you first need to finish all parts of Act 1, and then go to sleep. The game follows a set story path, so you can’t skip directly to Act 2. If you’ve already completed Act 1 but can’t load your saved game, you’ll need to play through it again.

How To Start Act 2 In Crime Scene Cleaner

Once you’ve completed all the levels in Act 1, you’ll see the Communiti stages appear on your computer. However, the game doesn’t tell you how to start Act 2. To continue, simply go to Kovalsky’s room and go to sleep in his bed. You don’t need to use his phone, and completing the Communiti stages isn’t necessary.

When you regain consciousness, you’ll be inside Kovalsky’s memories—meaning you haven’t actually woken up. This begins Act 2 of Crime Scene Cleaner, specifically the “Things Left Behind” level. Here, you can find one CD. CDs have replaced the cassette tapes from Act 1 because the story jumps forward a few years. As you explore these memories, you’ll witness glimpses of Kovalsky’s everyday life and see Elena growing up, showcasing the passage of time.

In the ‘Things Left Behind’ area, you’ll find one CD (formerly a cassette tape), but no hidden secrets. ‘Amber Alert’ contains four secrets and four CDs. Be prepared for some light puzzle-solving and exploration in the unique restaurant and boxing ring lounge, as it includes hidden areas.

In Secluded Retreat, Kovalsky investigates a shady hotel brimming with illicit behavior and discovers a grim total of eleven corpses. The area is shrouded in secrets, and it might be best not to dig too deep.

The game’s last two areas are Circle of Friends and Town Too Small. In Circle of Friends, you’ll explore a bizarre cult headquarters, finding keys, solving puzzles, and even destroying duck figurines to uncover its secrets. Then, in Town Too Small, you’ll meet Big Jim and his daughter, Amber. While smaller than the cult headquarters, this area is packed with clues to discover.
