It’s been nearly two months since the last update to Disney Dreamlight Valley, but a new one is now available! The ‘Whispers of the Wind‘ update is free and includes lots of fresh content for players.

Okay, so the Whispers of the Wind update is dropping on April 8, 2026! Gameloft doesn’t usually tell us exactly when things go live, but if their past updates are anything to go by, I’m guessing around 9 AM Eastern Time. They’ve been pretty consistent with that timing before, so that’s my best bet for when we can start playing!

What’s Included in Dreamlight Valley’s Whispers of the Wind Update?
- Pocahontas as a new character.

Okay, so the big news with the ‘Whispers of the Wind’ update is that Pocahontas is finally coming to the game! It’s a little different than some recent updates though – instead of getting two new characters, we’re just getting her this time around.
There’s a new way to meet her! Instead of unlocking a whole new world, players will simply need to visit a specific location to find Pocahontas. Best of all, you won’t have to use any Dreamlight to unlock her this time, making the process a little simpler.
Just like with other characters in DDV, you’ll need to finish one or more quests to make Pocahontas a permanent resident of the valley. After you unlock her, you can build your friendship with her by completing her special quests and increasing your friendship level.
The Pocahontas update, Whispers of the Wind, introduces Meeko and Percy as playable companions. A new Star Path, The Elements of Nature, is also available, offering fresh challenges and rewards.
Plus, a new building called Olaf’s Grand Exhibition is being added! It’s like a museum where players can display the items they’ve collected.
