Modders Are Already Trying To Make STALKER 2 Easier

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I find myself intrigued by the STALKER 2 phenomenon. The game’s unapologetic difficulty has been a refreshing change of pace for me, harkening back to the days when games didn’t coddle players with endless tutorials and auto-save points.

In simpler terms, some early game reviews for STALKER 2 indicated that the game was too hard due to its difficulty level. However, as a less experienced gamer playing on the easiest setting, I’ve found the game challenging but also enjoyable in a satisfying way. Despite my many deaths after almost 50 hours of play, I still find the experience engaging and entertaining.

For some people, it’s simply too much with all these new mods appearing lately. On platforms such as Nexus Mods, numerous mods have emerged in just a few days, many designed to make the game less challenging. These mods either remove or soften certain ‘challenging’ features, or ease up on the difficulty of tougher enemies.

It’s not the way The Zone is meant to be explored.

Giving In

In simpler terms, STALKER 2 isn’t meant to be an easy game. You’ll find yourself in a nearly post-apocalyptic world filled with dangerous elemental anomalies and mutants who want to attack you. Every couple of minutes, you’re likely to find yourself caught up in intense firefights between rival factions. Even searching for supplies like a cache or backpack can lead to sudden danger.

But that’s how it was designed – it doesn’t hold your hand too much, and that’s how fans like it.

On Nexus, STALKER 2 mods have already been downloaded more than 350,000 times.

Currently, one of the top five modifications for this game reduces the challenge posed by Bloodsuckers and Poltergeists, two creatures that can be quite tricky to deal with while navigating The Zone. You’ll often encounter these pesky Bloodsuckers during your journey, but they appear more frequently compared to the Poltergeists.

In STALKER 2, I’m thrilled about the upcoming mod that eliminates weapon and outfit durability, which means no more spending on repairs! Granted, it can get pricey as you progress through the game, but with a little perseverance, earning money is quite doable. So, if you’re up for the challenge, let’s dive in and see what this gaming adventure holds!

Elsewhere, you’ve got mods like:

  • Low Mutant Health
  • No Weight for Resources
  • Longer Sprinting
  • Unlimited Carry Weight

Spending a few minutes to download STALKER 2 mods from Nexus might give you a game with enhanced visuals and performance. However, it’s probable that the game becomes simpler as well, which could compromise the essence of the gameplay experience.
