As a Crimson Desert fan, I have to say the Shotgun Shield is seriously one of the coolest items in the game! It’s just so much fun to use. You can actually block attacks with it, but the best part is blasting anyone who gets too close with a shotgun – it’s incredibly satisfying! It really does it all.

You can find the Shotgun Shield at an enemy camp called Helmara, located in Tashkalp within the Crimson Desert. We’ll show you exactly where it is and explain how to recharge it, so you can safely attack enemies from behind the shield without taking damage.

Shotgun Shield Location in Crimson Desert

  • The Shotgun Shield can be found in Helmara, an enemy-controlled area in Tashkalp of the Crimson Desert.
  • Between the “H” and “K” of “Tashkalp”, head north to find Helmara, where you can drop down into this enemy camp.
  • On the east side, at the back left corner, you can find the Shotgun Shield among some scrap metal.

How to Use the Shotgun Shield in Crimson Desert

Special Effect Stormy Retribution (L1+R2)
  • Use L1+R2 with the Shotgun Shield equipped to send out a blast of pellets towards enemies.
  • You have three charges, and you can replenish charges by blocking three hits in a row (Hold L1).
  • Every 3 hits blocked is one charge, and then you can use L1+R2 again to fire a shotgun blast from the shield.
  • Unfortunately, the Shotgun Shield cannot be upgraded, nor can it hold any Abyss Gears.

The Shotgun Shield can take 50 hits before breaking. To make it last forever, you can use the “Infinity Durability For All Items” mod created by PLMOST.
