Ubisoft has released update 1.1.10 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, addressing ongoing issues and adding features players have been asking for. Over a year after its release, Ubisoft is still actively supporting Assassin’s Creed Shadows with updates, fixes, and new content. This latest update includes a new weapon and several other improvements.
As a player, I’ve really come to expect Ubisoft to keep things fresh with big updates, and they’ve definitely done that with this game even long after it first came out. They haven’t just left it as is – they’ve added tons of cool stuff over the months, like completely revamped parkour, a New Game Plus mode, raised the level cap, improved Hideouts, and a whole lot more. Honestly, all those consistent improvements even helped the game reach new player numbers months down the line. This latest update isn’t quite as massive as some of the previous ones, but it still gives us some new things to dive into.
A new update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows includes a variety of improvements, from fresh content to bug fixes. All players can now find the Bo, a weapon previously available in the Claws of Awaji expansion, throughout Feudal Japan. You can obtain non-legendary versions of the Bo by defeating enemies, opening chests, or purchasing from merchants. However, these common versions won’t appear until you’ve discovered at least one unique Bo first.
PlayStation Pro users playing Assassin’s Creed Shadows can now benefit from PSSR 2, a new technology that improves both performance and image quality. PSSR 2 started becoming available on PS5 Pro in March, and AC: Shadows is one of the first games to use it. While the recent game update doesn’t include many details, players should expect a sharper, smoother experience.
A new update, 1.1.10, is now available for Nintendo Switch 2 owners, adding a new way to play Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Players can now use a mouse and keyboard with the game. This update also fixes several bugs and issues, including improvements to the game’s interface, fixes for weapons and special abilities, and problems that were preventing progress in quests like Brothers in Arms, Lost and Found, and The Winter Raiders.
In March, the Ubisoft team celebrated the one-year anniversary of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Art director Thierry Dansereau described it as a major accomplishment. Simon Lemay-Comtois, an Associate Game Director, highlighted the workshops Ubisoft hosted, allowing players to share feedback that directly led to improvements and updates after the game’s release. He noted the team gained more insight into player preferences in just one year than they had in the previous ten. Ubisoft seems committed to continuing this community-focused approach in future projects.

Don’t have the Claws of Awaji Expansion? No worries!
You can now discover standard Bo weapons simply by exploring the dark areas of Feudal Japan. After you’ve obtained a unique Bo, regular versions of the weapon will begin appearing as enemy drops, in chests, or for sale from merchants – just like any other weapon in the game.
PSSR 2 Support
Step into the shadows as Naoe or Yasuke, and experience a richer, sharper vision of feudal Japan.
PlayStation®5 Pro will feature PSSR 2, a technology that improves both the visual quality and speed of games, making vast landscapes, lively cities, and peaceful rural areas look even better.
Mouse and Keyboard Support on Switch 2
A new way to play arrives! Mouse and Keyboard support is now available on the Nintendo Switch 2.
As a fan, I’m so excited to finally have complete control over both Naoe and Yasuke! It’s awesome that we can customize their weapons and fighting styles exactly how we like them, letting us move through the darkness with the stealth and precision we’ve always wanted. It really feels like my fight, played my way.
