How to Sell Livestock in Crimson Desert

In Crimson Desert, players can sell animals at the Livestock Black Market, which is located near cities. They can also sell stolen horses at the Horse Fence, found close to the Hills of No Return.

Selling animals and horses doesn’t bring in much money, but it can be a good way for players to quietly get rid of items they obtained dishonestly, as long as they know the right people and places to go.

How to Sell Animals in Crimson Desert

In Crimson Desert, there are two ways players can sell animals.

  • Livestock Fence
  • Howling Hill Ranch

Livestock Fence

You can sell stolen animals, like cows, pigs, and goats, at the Livestock Black Market southeast of Hernand in the Crimson Desert. This market accepts any animal raised or owned by other characters in the game.

To sell an animal, simply bring it to the Livestock Fence and enter the shop with it. You can carry smaller animals like ducks and roosters inside, but larger animals like cows and bulls must be ridden to the shop, as if they were mounts.

Crimson Desert features three Livestock Fences. You can find them southeast of Hernand, in Demeniss, and in Tashkalp.

Ranch

In Crimson Desert, you can unlock a ranch by finishing the Field of Abundance quest for the Greymanes. Once unlocked, the ranch adds a large animal farm to your base, letting you breed livestock, process them for meat, and then sell the meat for profit.

If you want to sell an animal at the ranch, take it to the stall in the center – it’s the one with the coin sign. The NPC with the eye patch will purchase it from you.

Selling directly at the ranch is unlike selling to a middleman; instead of receiving cash, the proceeds go straight into the Howling Hill camp’s account.

How to Sell Horses

Okay, so horses aren’t treated like normal farm animals – you can’t just sell them at the Livestock Pen like cows or sheep. But selling them is pretty easy overall! You just lead your horse up to a vendor who buys animals, and the game handles the sale for you. It’s the same process as selling any other livestock, really.

How to Sell Stolen Horses

If you come across a stolen horse, you can sell it to the Horse Fence at Saddlewind Ranch. The ranch is northeast of Hernand and just east of the Hills of No Return. You can’t officially register or own a stolen horse, so you can either ride it for as long as you want or sell it at the Horse Fence.

How to Sell Owned Horses

If you tame wild horses, they automatically become yours. You can sell these horses at any Stable by speaking to the vendor and selecting the “Sell Horse” option. Alternatively, after completing the second expansion mission, you can sell horses to the Stablemaster at Howling Hill camp.

When you sell a horse, everything equipped on it – like its saddle and armor – will be sold with the horse. You won’t be able to get those items back, so make sure you’re happy with the sale before you finalize it.
