How to Escape Delesyia Castle in Crimson Desert

The Crossroads quest is a key part of the Crimson Desert story. You’ll need to go to Delesyia Castle and ask Marni, its unusual ruler, for help. Unfortunately, things don’t go as expected, and Kliff ends up trapped in the castle dungeon with no clear way out. The puzzle in the basement seems easy enough, but like many things in Crimson Desert, the solution isn’t always straightforward. If you’re having trouble with the Crossroads quest, this guide will help you escape.

Entering Delesyia Castle in Crimson Desert

This part of the quest requires you to get into Delesyia Castle. Like at the beginning of the game in Hernand, the guards won’t let you pass without a proper disguise. However, instead of finding a specific armor set, all you need to do is equip your Visione. Simply open your equipment menu, go to the Armor section, and select the Visione helmet. Once it’s equipped, the guards will allow you to enter.

Now, simply go inside Delesyia Castle to the audience chamber. You’ll find a group of people wearing Visione devices waiting for you. There, you’ll encounter someone claiming to be Marni, and after a short conflict, you’ll be teleported to the castle basement. Your next task is to find a way out.

Escaping Delesyia Castle in Crimson Desert

After you get back in control, go to the big machine at the far end of the room – it has a bar sticking out. Push the bar to the left to find a clock-like device where you can connect your Visione. With your Visione still on, use the device to start a short puzzle where you’ll need to rotate the hour and minute hands.

The challenge is to get both clock hands to light up blue simultaneously. To do this, carefully move each hand to just before the point where it starts to glow. Experiment with rotating each hand to understand exactly where that glowing point is. Then, position both the hour and minute hands correctly, and press both buttons at the same time to solve the puzzle.

When you turn on the device, a holographic image of Marni will appear and speak. After he finishes, walk through the doorway on the opposite side of the room. You’ll find a new exit there, but make sure to keep your Visione active, or the door will disappear. If you remove it, you’ll have to solve the clock puzzle all over again.

As soon as you enter, take off the Visione to locate a door leading to a teleporter. Stepping onto the platform will transport you from Delesyia Castle to the fields outside the city. You’ll appear at an Abyss Nexus near Marni’s manor, where you’ll need to repeat the painting and clock puzzles to find yet another teleporter.

After you reach Crossroads in Crimson Desert, the main story focuses heavily on combat, with three challenging boss battles. It’s important to stock up on plenty of food and equip your best gear before continuing.
