As a huge fan of Crimson Desert, I’ve been exploring everything the game has to offer, and let me tell you, there are so many hidden secrets! The Golden Apple is definitely one of the best – it’s a real game-changer. Seriously, you can use these to basically get unlimited wealth, and I’ve found a way to farm them really quickly. This guide will show you how!
Okay, so I discovered you can find Golden Apples on hedgehogs – seriously! And the best part? They just keep spawning at Grey Rock Dock, way up northeast in Hernand. I’m going to walk you through how to farm them, and then show you what all the effort is for – because these Golden Apples are totally worth it!
To collect Golden Apples, you’ll need a Mask. Without one, the game treats them as stolen items and won’t let you take them. You can find a guide on how to get a Mask here.
Where to Find Golden Apples in Crimson Desert
- Golden Apples can be found on the back of hedgehogs in Grey Rock Dock.
- Grey Rock Dock is located northeast of Hernand, specifically in the image above.
- Be warned, you’ll need to liberate this area of enemies.
- From the Kingshield Mountains (shown above), head southwest to the Grey Rock Dock, and look on the ground along the path for hedgehogs.
- If you do not find any hedgehogs before crossing the bridge in the north, then make your way back to the starting point and repeat the farm, as the animals will respawn without you needing to reload a save or teleport away.
- We had the best luck from around 11 AM to 6 PM, and found multiple Golden Apple hedgehogs with a few quick runs.
- To take the Golden Apple from the hedgehog, you will have to either kill the hedgehog with an arrow or shoot the Golden Apple off its back (which is far harder to do). Don’t worry, killing the hedgehog won’t give you a bounty!
- Once the Golden Apple drops on the ground, you can collect it like any other item, but be warned, this counts as stealing (for some reason), so be prepared to run out of the red radius to avoid getting a bounty.
How to Use Golden Apples in Crimson Desert
- Golden Apples can be sold to any vendor for 114 Silver Coins, but that’s not what they should be used for.
- You can craft Gold Bars with Golden Apples, which are worth far more if invested at the Bank or sold at vendors.
- With Golden Apples, you can head to any Witch and enter the “Craft Abyss Gear” tab.
- From here, enter the “Special Item” tab with R2/RT where you can now select to craft “Gold Bar”.
- You can craft a Gold Bar for x1 Golden Apple and x3 Gold Ore (we have a guide for Gold Ore here).
