Two new games, Firebreak and Endless Legend 2, are now available for players with Xbox Game Pass Premium. This is a big day for the service, as it also includes a PC release of a popular survival game and the first new titles added to the Xbox Game Pass Essential library since late 2025.
Firebreak (FBC) is a co-op shooter and the first spin-off game based on Remedy Entertainment’s Control. It was available on Xbox Game Pass from its launch in June 2025. Endless Legend 2, a sequel to Amplitude Studios’ 2014 strategy game, entered early access in September 2025 and was also added to certain Microsoft subscription plans. Both games were initially released only on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Xbox Game Pass Premium Subscribers Have Up to 3 New Games to Play Today
Xbox Game Pass subscribers now have more to play! On April 8th, Endless Legend 2 and FBC: Firebreak were added to the Game Pass Premium library. Plus, the popular zombie survival game DayZ is now available on PC for all subscribers. DayZ first came out in December 2018 after being in development for five years, and has been available on Xbox Game Pass consoles and via the cloud since May 2020. It’s unclear why it took so long for the PC version to be included.
DayZ has been available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers since December 2024, when the basic subscription was known as XGP Core. Now that it’s also on PC, all Game Pass members—regardless of their plan—can play it.

Today, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 was added to the Essential catalog. This popular first-person action game, created by Fatshark, first launched in 2018 and is currently available through Xbox Game Pass for the third time, having been added in May 2025. It was previously on the service from July 2018 to July 2019 and again from September 2020 to September 2021. With its addition to the Essential tier, it seems likely that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will remain on Xbox Game Pass for the foreseeable future.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and the PC version of DayZ are the newest games added to the Essential catalog, following the December 2025 update that brought Stellaris, World War Z: Aftermath, and Medieval Dynasty.
