This region is adjacent to the initial game area, offering early-game explorers one of their earliest chances to uncover significant items such as artifacts.
To find the artifact, begin at the open gate of the Eastern Checkpoint. Then, facing the gate, walk towards the south, sticking close to the wall. Carry on walking in this direction until the wall takes a left turn; follow its bend. As you travel along this path, look out for a group of bushes by a body and a gap in the wall. The artifact will be found in this location, so make sure to search thoroughly to avoid missing it.
It’s worth noting that while the artifact’s location remains the same for all players, the specific type of artifact you receive is randomized.
