Pearl Abyss is sharing updates for its open-world game, Crimson Desert, including new content, improvements to gameplay, and quality-of-life features. While Crimson Desert remains popular, it hasn’t been without issues, as shown by initial mixed reviews and the several updates released in recent weeks to address them.
Despite some player frustrations, Crimson Desert has already sold over 4 million copies globally in less than two weeks. Pearl Abyss is actively addressing these concerns with regular updates, improving gameplay and adding new content. They’ve been refining the controls, introducing new mounts, and making other quality-of-life improvements, and their latest announcements suggest they have no plans to stop improving the game anytime soon.
Crimson Desert Details Future Content and Updates
So, Pearl Abyss just put out a new update about what’s coming to Crimson Desert, and it sounds like they’re really listening to us players! It’s been three weeks since launch, and they’re already planning some cool stuff. They’re working on more combat content, which is awesome, but they’re also addressing some of the biggest complaints, like the game being a bit too hard. They’re adding difficulty settings, which is HUGE – finally, we can tailor the experience to our skill level! Plus, they’re adding a Boss Rematch feature, so we can keep practicing on those tough fights. And it’s not just that – even after you’ve cleared an area, enemies will try to take it back, giving us endgame players something to always do. It sounds like they’re really committed to making Crimson Desert the best game it can be.
Players have expressed concerns that the characters Damiane and Oongka didn’t have skills comparable to Kliff’s Force Palm and Axiom Force. Pearl Abyss is addressing this by giving them similar new abilities. The game is also getting more customization options with new outfits, and players will be able to hide their back weapons for a more immersive combat experience. More pets and mounts are planned, and storage is being improved with specialized categories for Food, Gathering resources, Collections, and a dedicated Wardrobe. A useful addition is the ability to directly remove items from storage for crafting or upgrading.
The blog post revealed more than just new features. Pearl Abyss is also working to improve the game’s graphics, focusing on making distant backgrounds look more detailed and realistic. They warned that these visual upgrades might make future game updates larger than usual. Additionally, the user interface will be improved with the addition of an option to adjust the minimum font size.
