In Crimson Desert, certain weapons and Abyss Gear have durability – meaning they wear out with use. Once an item’s durability is gone, the item is lost forever, as there’s no way to repair it. However, you can use modifications, or ‘mods,’ to completely remove durability from these items if you prefer.
A mod called “Infinity Durability For All Items,” available on NexusMods.com thanks to PLMOST, eliminates item durability in the game. This means you can use your best weapons and Abyss Gear without the fear of them breaking. Here’s how to install it.
As mentioned above, removing durability is a mod and, therefore, will be exclusive to PC players.
How to Install the Infinity Durability For All Items Mod in Crimson Desert
- Download the “JSON Mod Manager” mod by PhorgeForge.
- Find the “CD JSON Mod Manager” zip file and extract it anywhere.
- Enter the new “CD JSON Mod Manager” folder and double-click “mod_manager.exe”.
- This .exe file will run automatically, but if it doesn’t, click “Browse” and manually attach it to your Crimson Desert folder.
- Download the “Infinity Durability For All Items” mod by PLMOST.
- Find the “Infinity Durability For All Items” zip file and click “Extract Here” to make an unzipped version of the file.
- Open the “CD JSON Mod Manager”, where you can now drag and drop “Infinity Durability For All Items” into the Mod Manager.
- From the “Available” tab in the Mod Manager, click “Infinity Durability For All Items” and press the green arrow.
- Now, click “Apply Mods” at the bottom of the screen when “Infinity Durability For All Items” is in the “Active” tab.
The “Infinity Durability For All Items” mod lets you customize item durability. You can choose to enable or disable infinite durability on individual items and Abyss Gear, giving you more control over which items last forever.
How to Get Infinite Durability in Crimson Desert
- With the mod installed, launch Crimson Desert (from the mod manager).
- Look in your inventory for your weapon/Abyss Gear that had item durability, and you should notice that the stat has been completely removed to show that the mod has worked.
