Altar of Solitude Walkthrough in Crimson Desert

Once you’ve completed the Courtyard of Precision, you’ll encounter the next puzzle, called the Altar of Solitude. This puzzle in Crimson Desert can be quite difficult, so we’ve created a detailed walkthrough to help you solve it – you’ll find the step-by-step instructions below.

I’m so excited to share a guide to the Altar of Solitude! It breaks down all the steps for a really fast and simple solution, so you can get back to exploring the Abyss. Seriously, it’ll help you collect those Abyss Artifacts and become the ultimate Greymane – you’ll be solving those sky puzzles like a pro!

Okay, so I ran into a really annoying bug with the Altar of Solitude – sometimes you just can’t grab the cube! Luckily, I found a workaround. If you’re having the same problem, just use a Lightning Arrow or the Lightning Surge ability (press R2 and Circle) to activate the cube whenever you need it. It’s a bit of a pain, but it lets you keep playing!

How to Solve the Altar of Solitude Abyss Puzzle in Crimson Desert

  • Grab the battery with Axiom Force on the left side of the room and use Force Palm to place it into the empty slot.
  • Move the cube on the left side of the room into the stone cube to activate the platform that has the two batteries slotted, and stand on top of them so that the floor flips with you inside.

  • Face north, and head left to find a battery behind the wall, and use Axiom Force to guide it all the way to the left.
  • Rotate the battery with the D-Pad to help it through the gaps so you can free it, and then place it on the ceiling.
  • Use the teleporter in the room to escape.

  • Pull the cube away from the stone cube to flip the floor again, where you will now have the two batteries and the third floating battery.
  • Place one battery in the center slot, and the other batteries into the slots on the right floor (hold up on the Right Stick to free the battery that’s been slotted).
  • Once again, flip the floor with the stone cube and enter inside, where you can head through the room to find another floating battery.
  • Carry that floating battery to the ceiling and then use the teleporter to escape.
  • Activate the stone cube again to flip the floor and take the fourth floating battery.
  • Place the floating battery on the floor on the left, take out the battery in the center, and also place it in the slot on the left.
  • Activate the cube so that both the left and right floors are flipped (not showing the batteries).
  • This will activate the Abyss Gate, and you can now use Force Palm on the panel to activate it and complete the puzzle.
