The Kylus Greataxe is located in Crimson Desert, specifically in the Serpent Marsh region south of Demeniss. You can find it stuck in a tree growing on a cliff near the Jijeong Temple Pagoda.

The axe is stuck in a tree trunk that’s dangling over the cliff’s edge. To get it, you have to carefully climb the tree and pull it free. But be careful – any jerky movements will cause the tree trunk to snap, sending the axe plummeting into the chasm below, where it will be extremely difficult to recover without restarting from your last save.

The Kylus Greataxe can only be used by Oongka.

How to Get the Kylus Greataxe in Crimson Desert

You can find the Kylus Greataxe stuck in a tree on a cliff near the Jijeong Temple Pagoda in the Serpent Marsh islands. This area features tall, steep cliffs over 100 meters high, with Demeniss to the north and Delesyia to the east. The axe is on top of one of these cliffs, and here’s how to reach it.

    Fast travel to the Morning Mist Peaks Abyss Nexus.

    Head west to the red marker shown on the map above to reach the Jijeong Temple Pagoda mountain.

    Climb the mountain using vertical movement abilities like mid-air Force Palm, Aerial Stab, and Axiom Force until you reach the very top, where the Pagoda is located.

  1. From the Pagoda, look to the other side to find a small leafless tree jutting out from the edge of the cliff.

    2. Approach the tree slowly and focus your lantern to see the Kylus Greataxe embedded in one of the branches.

    Crouch and slowly climb the tree without any sudden movements until you’re near the buried weapon.

  2. Hold the interact button to get the Kylus Greataxe.

If the tree you’re climbing breaks, the Kylus Greataxe will fall to the rocks below, where it will be very difficult to recover. If this occurs, simply load a previous save and attempt the climb again.

Other Ways to Get the Kylus Greataxe in Crimson Desert

Gorio’s Equipment Shop

You can purchase a Kylus Greataxe for 14.73 Silver at Gorio’s Equipment Shop in Skoghorn, which is west of Pailune and close to First-Finger Lake. However, Gorio will only sell you the axe once you’ve built up 100 Trust with him. If you’re playing as an Orc, the quickest way to earn his trust is by giving him animal hides.

Two-handed Weapons of the World, Vol. 4

You can buy the fourth volume of ‘Two-handed Weapons of the World’ at Malchor’s Equipment Shop in Bloodsteel Camp. The camp is located northeast of the Steel Mountains, but you’ll need to earn Malchor’s complete trust first. He only opens his shop there after you free the camp by defeating Bradie Gu, a challenging boss in the area.
