As a seasoned Dragon Quest veteran with countless hours spent traversing the fantastical realms of these beloved games, I must say that the Meteorite Bracer has always held a special place in my heart (and inventory). The ability to outmaneuver enemies and ensure my party acts first during battles is simply unmatched.

In the remake of Dragon Quest 3, there are several objects that have gained legendary fame since the initial game’s launch. Items like the Garter and Words of Wisdom continue to captivate fans, including the Meteorite Bracer in this discussion.

In the revamped version of Dragon Quest 3, known as the Dragon Quest 3 Remake, there’s a unique item called the Meteorite Bracer. This item significantly boosts your character’s Agility stat. In this game, Agility determines the turn order, with characters having higher Agility acting first during battles against enemies. Interestingly, both your party members and the enemies you encounter follow this rule.

How to Get the First Meteorite Bracer in Dragon Quest 3 Remake

In the Dragon Quest 3 Remake, the very first Meteorite Bracer you can obtain is hidden in the town of Ibis. Ibis lies to the south of the Pyramid dungeon. To find the chest with the bracer, navigate to a secret chamber within the palace through one of its concealed side entrances. As you’re approaching the city from outside its borders, walk along the western edge, just before the city morphs into the palace. You’ll come across a small area where you can enter.

As you slip into Ibis via the clandestine back door, you’ll discover yourself in a compact passageway stretching from north to south. Continue along the route heading north, and eventually, you’ll unearth the concealed access point to the palace.

Upon entering, walk along the lengthy interior hall till you come across a flight of steps. Descend these steps to the lower floor. At the foot of the stairs, proceed towards the central part of the chamber, and you’ll discover a door that opens into a room at the center with another set of stairs leading downward.

Make your way towards the central room along the passage, and there you’ll find a Treasure Chest resting near an ornate sarcophagus. Upon opening it, you’ll discover the Meteorite Bracer within.

Once you open the chest, a spectral figure will rise from the coffin, giving the impression of impending condemnation. However, if you truthfully respond to the following questions (affirming ‘Yes’ on both occasions), you’ll be allowed to leave unscathed.

What Does the Meteorite Bracer Do in Dragon Quest 3 Remake?

  • As you can see in the above image, the Meteorite Bracer doubled our Agility level, increasing it from 264 to 528 when equipped.

How to Get the Second Meteorite Bracer in Dragon Quest 3 Remake

To obtain the second Meteorite Bracer, you must first defeat an unseen opponent in the Monster Arena during Rank 10 battle. This challenge becomes accessible once you have finished the main story and progressed into the Post-Game content of the Dragon Quest III Remake. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Return to the Castle of the Dragon Queen and ascend to ??? (Heavens)
  • Make your way through the massive ??? dungeon gauntlet, and reach Cloudgate Citadel.
  • Scale Citadel Tower and defeat Xenlon at least once.
  • When asked to make a wish, select the option that provides a new Monster Arena.
  • Head to Jipang and enter the well in the center of town.
  • Complete the Rank 10 battle.

The second Meteorite Bracer is one of the rewards for completing Monster Arena Rank 10.

If you choose something other than the Monster Arena for your initial wish, you’ll have another opportunity to make a wish once you defeat Xenlon again. But here’s the twist: each encounter with Xenlon must be quicker than the last one. To earn the second wish, you need to beat Xenlon in 25 turns or less. For the third wish, the battle should not extend beyond 15 turns.
