Steam Users Have Until April 13 to Claim 2024 Zombie Survival Game for Free

Steam users can now download LivingForest, a zombie survival game created by indie developer LivingEveryday, for free. This offer, part of Steam’s “Free to Keep” promotion, is available until April 13th. Normally priced at $15.99, it’s a great chance to try out the game without paying.

Steam’s ‘Free to Keep’ promotion regularly offers gamers free games. While the number of titles changes each week—unlike Epic Games Store’s consistent weekly giveaway—it’s a great way to discover hidden gems, particularly from independent developers. Since these games are free to add to your library, it’s worth checking out the selection and trying something new.

LivingForest is Free on Steam

You can currently get LivingForest for free on Steam! This 2024 zombie survival game, created by LivingEveryday, has a cute, blocky art style and lets you play from either a first-person or third-person perspective. The game’s trailer shows off different environments where you’ll search for weapons, battle zombies and soldiers, and try to survive. You’ll also be able to complete quests and drive vehicles as you explore.

If you’re interested in playing LivingForest on Steam, you’ll need to download it quickly! It’s currently available for free, but this offer ends on April 13th, after which it will return to its regular price. If you miss the free period, don’t worry – you can still get the survival game for 80% off ($3.18) until April 23rd, but getting it for free is the best deal, of course.

Steam reviews for LivingForest are a bit of a mixed bag. Some players are annoyed by the amount of extra content available as paid DLC, feeling like key parts of the game are locked behind these purchases. While all the DLC is currently 80% off, it normally costs $15.99 per pack, and one player called the total number of packs “absurd.” The good news is LivingForest is free to play, so you can try it out and decide for yourself without spending any money. Thanks to this current sale, the game is seeing a record number of players on Steam.

I’m always checking Steam for free games, and right now, besides LivingForest, there are a couple of cool options! eWorlds from GGTech Studios is free to grab until April 16th, but after that, it’ll start costing money. The other big freebie is Graveyard Keeper, which you can claim until April 13th. It’s actually timed really well with the announcement of Graveyard Keeper 2, so you can try the first game before the sequel comes out. Honestly, deals like these are awesome – you don’t need to spend a ton of money to build up a pretty big PC game collection on Steam!
