The Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor is a top-tier chest piece in Crimson Desert, offering built-in fire protection and a boost to critical hit rate. However, getting it requires a complex and time-consuming process – it’s not just lying around waiting to be found. Despite the effort, many players consider it a worthwhile pursuit.

Here’s a complete guide to getting the Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor, covering everything from finding the blueprint to gathering the necessary materials. We’ll also show you what the armor does and why we think it’s a great addition to almost any character build.

How to Get the Flame-Resistant Armor Blueprint in Crimson Desert

  • Save the Witch of Kindness in Pailune (we have a guide on rescuing her right here).
  • You can now cleanse the Sanctum of Deliverance, north of the “D” in “Hernand” (which we have a guide for here).
  • After cleansing the Sanctum of Deliverance, you will enter a cutscene with Bari the Witch, and you will get the Flame-Resistant Armor Blueprint.

Now that you have the Blueprint, here’s a guide to getting all the ingredients and materials you’ll need.

How to Craft the Flame-Resistant Armor in Crimson Desert

Scorchflame Plate Armor x1 Obtained from a Treasure Chest at the Golden Trading Post (Demeniss).
Power Core – Casket of Illusions x1 Farmed from Stone Worms (commonly found at the Greenfield Highlands).
Core of Absolution x1 Solve the Blinding Light riddle at the Sanctum of Absolution.

You can create Flame-Resistant Armor by visiting Grimnir at the Kilnden Workshop in Hernand (see the map). To do so, you’ll first need to gather the necessary materials, and we’ve included a guide to their locations below.

How to Get the Scorchflame Plate Armor

  • The Scorchflame Plate Armor can be found behind a wooden door in the Golden Trading Post in Demeniss.
  • Head north between the “D” and the first “E” in “Demeniss” where you can find a wooden door in the western area.
  • Enter the door by sliding through, and you will find a Treasure Chest that contains this armor piece.

How to Get the Power Core – Casket of Illusions

  • Power Cores are acquired from Stone Worms, but the Power Core you get upon their defeat is completely random.
  • You’re looking for the Power Core – Casket of Illusions, so make a save and reload if you don’t get it.
  • For farming Power Cores, we recommend the Greenfield Highlands in Grace Estate, south Hernand (marked on the map above).
  • Once the Power Core drops from the Stone Worm, use Axiom Force to grab it, then seal it into your Kuku Pot.

How to Get the Core of Absolution

  • The Core of Absolution is obtained from the Sanctum of Absolution.
  • This Sanctum is unlocked after finding the Witch of Wisdom, which you can find a guide for here.
  • After cleansing the Sanctum of Absolution (guide here), you can interact with the blue panel at the front of the sanctum itself with Blinding Flash (L1+R1+L1).
  • Use Blinding Flash on the middle blue button every time the crystal lines up with a blue crystal on the outer dial.
  • Doing so for a full rotation will drop the Core of Absolution, which can be grabbed with Axiom Force and sealed into the Kuku Pot.

How to Get the Enhanced Kuku Pot

  • The Enhanced Kuku Pot Blueprint is obtained from the Sanctum of Absolution.
  • The Sanctum is found south of Hernand, and once you cleanse it (guide here) you will get the Blueprint you seek.
  • With the Blueprint acquired, take x1 Abyss Cell (we have the location for this here) and x1 Kuku Pot to Grimnir.

With all the items now obtained, head back to Grimnir and craft the Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor!

  • The Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor can be upgraded, but it cannot hold any Abyss Gears.
  • This armor has Fire Resistance Lv 10, making it the most heat-resistant armor in-game.
  • You will also be able to upgrade Critical Rate in the armor, which means you have a chance to deal double damage.
  • The special effect of this armor allows you to absorb fire damage, and once charged, any attack received will unleash a powerful burst of fire damage against attackers.
  • Fully upgrading the Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor grants 38 Defense and Lv 3 Critical Rate.
