A sequel to Hogwarts Legacy is officially in development, confirmed by Warner Bros. Discovery some time ago, though specific details are still scarce. It’s been three years since the original game launched, and fans are eager for updates. Fortunately, Avalanche Software recently hinted that more concrete information about Hogwarts Legacy 2 could be revealed soon.
Hogwarts Legacy Has a New Community Manager
XpectoGO on Twitter noticed that Avalanche Software recently hired a new community manager named Cody. Interestingly, the last time they hired a community manager, it was right before they started heavily promoting the first Hogwarts Legacy game. Just three months later, they held the Hogwarts Legacy State of Play, and a year after that, the game launched. If the sequel, Hogwarts Legacy 2, follows a similar timeline, we might see an announcement in the next few months and a release within a year and a half.
When Will Hogwarts Legacy 2 Be Revealed?
There’s a good chance we’ll hear about Hogwarts Legacy 2 soon. Several gaming events are coming up in June, including Summer Game Fest, a PlayStation State of Play (which is rumored to happen soon), and an Xbox showcase. Considering the first Hogwarts Legacy game had a close partnership with PlayStation and even some exclusive content for that platform, a reveal at a PlayStation State of Play seems most likely, but announcements could happen at any of these events.
Currently, all information about Hogwarts Legacy 2 is based on rumors and guesses. However, many believe the game will closely follow the story of the new Harry Potter TV series coming to HBO. With the show set to premiere in December, a release for Hogwarts Legacy 2 around that time, or possibly in early 2027 as the first season ends, seems likely. While this is just speculation and the game could be further off, the timing looks promising.
