WWE 2K25 Wish List

WWE 2K25 Wish List

As a die-hard wrestling fan and seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of WWE 2K25. The game has always been a staple in my annual gaming lineup, offering an immersive experience that allows me to live out my dreams as a WWE superstar.

It’s more a question of when rather than if that we’ll see WWE 2K25. The hint is strong with Take-Two’s August financial report, which mentioned the game would be out by the end of March 2025. Given that WWE 2K22, WWE 2K23, and now presumably WWE 2K25 have all been released in March of their respective years, this shouldn’t come as a shock. If past trends continue, we might hear news about the next game around the time of the Royal Rumble event.

Regardless of the passage of time, a fresh year always brings about a new WWE wrestling game, and given the current buzz surrounding the industry, it’s undeniably thrilling. The “wrestling boom” continues to thrive, making us curious about how WWE 2K25 might contribute to this trend. With approximately four months left until its expected release, here are my top wishes for the game.

WWE 2K24 Wish List for Each Game Mode

In my opinion, for WWE 2K25‘s Showcase Mode, I’d love to see a central theme revolving around The Bloodline. To be honest, as a dedicated Cody Rhodes fan, I felt a bit disappointed when the Showcase Mode in WWE 2K24 (where he was the cover star) ended with his loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. However, it’s undeniable that The Bloodline is one of the most captivating wrestling narratives in recent memory, if not of all time. Here’s the catch: if we wait for this new chapter of The Bloodline to conclude, that means a lengthy wait, and a standard-length Showcase Mode wouldn’t do justice to its finest moments. Instead, I’m hoping that WWE 2K25 offers a Bloodline Showcase Mode that spans from Roman’s return at SummerSlam 2020 up until his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. Afterward, we can look forward to an Original Tribal Chief Showcase Mode, detailing events since WrestleMania 40 until the conclusion of this saga.

Could you kindly ask for Paul Heyman’s narrative if the Showcase event takes place in WWE 2K25 or any future editions?

In my opinion, the game MyRise is enjoyable due to its choice-based structure, but I wish there were more substantial choices within each campaign and a deeper narrative. The older WWE games served as an inspiration with their intricate storylines, multiple paths, and overall direction, which could significantly enhance replayability in MyRise. Additionally, while the Men’s MyRise storyline in WWE 2K24 was connected to real life events like Roman Reigns’ title reign, it might be better to loosen those constraints and focus on crafting more engaging wrestling stories instead.

MyGM – I adore the MyGM mode more than anything else in the game. Even after completing all other aspects, I still find myself launching the game for this very reason. There’s nothing quite like unwinding, managing a roster, and having a blast doing it. I love tweaking the roster for chaos (I once had all duplicates enabled, resulting in matches like Undertaker vs. Undertaker or John Cena vs. John Cena). Running feuds such as Punk vs. McIntyre also bring me immense joy. As the mode continues to grow and approach the rest of the game’s level, it becomes increasingly challenging to add items to my wishlist. Enhancing the visual appeal of PLEs and adjusting the calendar system would significantly improve the experience. If I could dream up a long-shot request, it would be for scenarios to receive official support in WWE 2K25’s MyGM Mode. I’ve previously conceptualized ideas for WWE 2K25 MyGM scenarios, including supernatural takeovers, goals like winning the Unified Title belt, a ‘Road to WrestleMania’-like scenario, or even becoming a wrestling GM.

Regarding MyFaction and the Universe games, I usually engage in them solely for the sake of accomplishments before moving to other titles. However, maintaining their quality at the same level as others could significantly enhance my gaming experience.

As a gamer, I can surely say that enhancing the stability for online matches is a must-have. It’s like playing a never-ending game of whack-a-mole with connection issues. Plus, any boost to its creative aspects would be the cherry on top – it’s always exciting to see new tools to help me craft unique gaming experiences!

WWE 2K25: Beyond Game Modes

Combining Universes – With the TKO merger in 2023, it’d be exciting to imagine a fusion of worlds between WWE video games and UFC fighters. While UFC games are strong on their own, I believe the crossover content should be exclusive and unique to make it special.

Engaging Fans and Crowds in WWE Gaming

Each year brings numerous alterations to the lineup of WWE superstars. Some veteran WWE personalities have departed this year and joined rival AEW, such as Ricochet. Yet, there are also many newcomers to the roster. WWE has sealed numerous Legend agreements and welcomed fresh talent like MCMG and, indeed, members of Solo’s Bloodline. I am extremely eager to control the Samoan Werewolf, Jacob Fatu, in WWE 2K25. However, I am uncertain whether he was signed early enough to appear in the base game of WWE 2K25.

In a past conversation with Game Rant, Visual Concepts’ creative director Lynell Jinks shared that it typically takes approximately nine months to release a game and go through testing and certification at different parties. This timeframe usually falls around fall, which is before the Survivor Series event. Therefore, any newcomers appearing in late summer or afterward may find it challenging to be included in the main game. Since Fatu signed up in April and made his debut in June, I’m hopeful that he will make it into the base version of WWE 2K25. If not, I’d at least like to see him in the first expansion pack for the game.
