According to the developers, PocketPair, they’ve revealed that the game, Palworld, is due for one of its largest updates in December. This update includes a brand-new island that’s approximately six times larger than Sakurajima.
Today, over at Palworld’s main X channel, they dropped some exciting news! They’re unveiling a fresh, colossal, enigmatic island – the largest, toughest, and most mystifying addition to our gaming world! Can’t wait to explore this new piece of terrain!
“The size of the new island is about six times more than Sakurajima,” they said.

Presently, PocketPair finds itself embroiled in a law court dispute with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company regarding their game, Palworld. Nintendo claims that PocketPair has violated patents, demanding compensation of approximately 10 million yen, which is equivalent to around $66,000 USD.
In simpler terms, PocketPair plans to defend their stance in this court case by taking further legal actions.
Despite the ongoing lawsuit, the company’s prosperity and eagerness to maintain the game’s appeal continue unabated. Just recently, the company revealed plans for a partnership between Palworld and Terraria, scheduled for some time in 2025.
In just six days following its release on January 19, 2024, the game Palworld managed to sell eight million units. By February 2024, they announced that the game had sold an additional 15 million copies on Steam and attracted another 10 million players on Xbox.
