Boruto, the eldest child of Naruto and Hinata, is a remarkably powerful ninja. Like his father before him, Boruto’s skills grow throughout the series, eventually surpassing even Naruto’s own abilities.
Boruto hasn’t fought many characters in one-on-one battles yet. This is either because of their existing relationships or simply because they haven’t met. These opponents are among the strongest in the Boruto universe, making any fight against them a significant challenge for him.
Sumire Kakei

Many viewers might see Sumire Kakei as a minor character, but she has incredible hidden power. She can control Nue, a being that absorbs chakra, allowing her to steal energy from opponents, open portals to other dimensions, and grow stronger as it gains more power. This makes her a potentially devastating threat, even to an entire village.
Although Sumire Kakei initially seemed like an enemy, Boruto never actually fought her. He realized she was struggling and offered her support instead of challenging her. This led to them becoming friends and allies, so a battle never happened. While Boruto would probably win if they did fight, it wouldn’t be an easy victory.
Shikadai Nara

Shikadai Nara is a remarkably skilled ninja, inheriting his talent from his father, Shikamaru Nara. His signature ability, Shadow Possession (Kagemane no Jutsu), lets him stretch his shadow to trap opponents and make them copy his actions. This allows him to control them, and even turn their movements against themselves to win a fight. Shikadai doesn’t just rely on raw power; he’s known for his smart strategies and efficient techniques.
I’ve noticed Shikadai and Boruto haven’t really had a proper fight yet, and I think it’s because they’re such close friends – they usually team up instead of battling each other. While Shikadai would definitely put up a fight, I get the feeling Boruto would probably win in the end. He’s just so fast and has a lot of different ways he can approach a fight, giving him a real edge.
Mitsuki

Mitsuki is not a naturally born human, but rather a synthetic being created by Orochimaru. He was designed to be a powerful fighter with a strong chakra supply and a body that could quickly adapt to any situation. This means he’s incredibly capable, possessing an elastic body and the ability to use both Lightning and Wind Release techniques, along with skillful hand-to-hand combat. He becomes even more formidable when he enters Sage Mode, which drastically boosts his strength, speed, and reaction time, making him a very difficult opponent.

Sasuke Uchiha

Sasuke Uchiha is considered one of the strongest ninja ever, rivaled only by Naruto Uzumaki. Even without his full power, he still possesses the Sharingan and is skilled in various techniques like Lightning Release, Fire Release, and swordsmanship. He’s known for his accuracy and deadly skills, placing him at a Kage-level strength.
It’s no surprise that Boruto and Sasuke Uchiha haven’t fought each other yet. Because Sasuke is a mentor and teacher to Boruto – much like Naruto Uzumaki was to him – he guides and trains Boruto as a ninja. They have a very strong, trusting bond, and Boruto would likely find it very difficult to win against Sasuke in a fight.
Naruto Uzumaki
Seventh Hokage
Naruto Uzumaki is an exceptionally powerful ninja and currently serves as the Seventh Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village, making him a formidable opponent. Even without Kurama, his strength remains at a high level, utilizing skills like Rasengan, impressive hand-to-hand combat, and Shadow Clones. As Hokage in the Boruto series, he’s refined his fighting style, emphasizing well-timed and precise attacks.
It’s natural that Naruto and his son, Boruto, haven’t fought—and probably won’t. Naruto wants to support Boruto’s growth and help him become stronger. Plus, as the Hokage, Naruto’s job is to protect the village, not fight its residents. Still, if they did battle, it would be a close match, as Boruto has become much more powerful recently.
Daemon
Powerful Cyborg
Even though Daemon doesn’t show up often in Boruto, he’s incredibly powerful as a cyborg. His special ability, called Reflection, is especially strong – it instantly reverses any attack and sends it back at whoever attacked him. This means even powerful ninja like Naruto and Sasuke would have a very hard time fighting him, as they’d struggle to even hit him.
The main reason Daemon and Boruto haven’t fought yet is simple: Boruto wouldn’t have stood a chance early on. While Boruto has gotten much stronger, a fight still isn’t likely because Daemon isn’t interested in targeting him specifically.
