Battlestate Games, the creators of Escape From Tarkov, are asking players what they think about adding a ‘Prestige’ system to the game’s player-versus-environment (PvE) mode. This doesn’t mean Prestige will definitely be added, but it shows the developers are exploring the idea for potential future updates.
Currently, Escape From Tarkov features a Prestige system, but it’s only available in the player-versus-player (PvP) game mode. It functions as expected: players can advance through six Prestige levels and then reset their progress to earn permanent rewards. Recently, the game developers shared that only 593 players have reached the highest Prestige rank, while over 24,000 have Prestiged at least once. Considering the total number of players, this still represents a relatively small and dedicated group. Prestige was initially added to PvP in December 2024, and there are now signs that it will eventually be implemented in the player-versus-environment (PvE) mode as well.
Escape From Tarkov is Surveying Players About Potential PvE Prestige
Battlestate Games is asking Escape From Tarkov players for feedback on the game’s Prestige system through a new in-game survey. The survey asks what would encourage players to max out Prestige levels, with one popular suggestion being to add it to the PvE mode. Players are also being asked directly how they feel about the possibility of Prestige coming to PvE. As a thank you, Battlestate Games is offering in-game rewards like the UHF RFID reader to those who complete the survey.
Just because they’re talking about Prestige doesn’t guarantee it’s coming to the PvE side of Escape From Tarkov, but it’s definitely on their radar. Basically, if enough of us show we want it, it could happen! Let’s be real, not every Escape From Tarkov update is perfect, so it’s awesome to see Battlestate actually listening to what players want and trying to make the game better.
After a bumpy start when it first launched last year, Escape From Tarkov is getting better and making significant improvements to the gameplay. Despite being available only through the Battlestate Games launcher for a long time, the game still has a strong and dedicated player base on Steam. The developers are clearly listening to player feedback, which is a great sign for the future of Escape From Tarkov.
Although details aren’t finalized, Escape From Tarkov players have a lot to anticipate in the coming months. Battlestate Games shared its plans through a 2026 roadmap, which includes new bosses and events. The developers aren’t stopping after the full 1.0 launch and are dedicated to continually improving the game. With the growing popularity of extraction shooters like ARC Raiders and Marathon, now is a great time for Escape From Tarkov to flourish.
