How to Farm Brimstone in Crimson Desert

In Crimson Desert, you’ll need lots of materials to improve your equipment, create new items, and refine what you already have. One of these materials, Brimstone, is rare and only comes from certain places, which we’ll detail below.

You get Brimstone by defeating Hexe Brimstoneback Crabs. Be prepared for a fight – and watch out, they explode when defeated! We’ll explain exactly how to get Brimstone, and give you some tips to quickly farm as much as you need.

Brimstone is a damaging gas, but you can protect yourself with a Gas Mask. You can find a guide to getting it linked below!

Brimstone Location in Crimson Desert

  • Brimstone can be obtained by killing Hexe Brimstoneback Crabs.
  • Hexe Brimstoneback Crabs are found at the Brimstone Springs in Demeniss, far north above the second “E” in “Demeniss” at the Deadfire Mountain.
  • Hexe Brimstoneback Crabs disguise themselves as rocks around the Brimstone Springs, and you can detect which ones are enemies by locating a green rock that shoots water from the top of its shell.
  • Attack the rock, and it will reveal itself as a Hexe Brimstoneback Crabs. Be warned, when killed, the Hexe Brimstoneback Crab will explode, which can be lethal if you have low health.
  • Once the Hexe Brimstoneback Crabs are dead, you can pick up 2 to 5 Brimstone from their corpses.
  • You can farm Hexe Brimstoneback Crabs by teleporting to the Abyss Nexus in the center of the Brimstone Springs (pictured above), which will reset the enemies in the area.
