Crimson Desert Mercury Location

You’ll need mercury in Crimson Desert, but it’s not found by just digging it up. Because mercury is a liquid, you’ll have to solidify it first. You can do this using the Frost Lv 1 skill – check out our guide below for details.

You can find Mercury at a specific location in the Smoking Lands Hearth, but you’ll need a few things first: a bow and arrow, the Frost Element, and the Charged Shot ability. Here’s a simple guide to help you get Mercury quickly and ensure you always have enough.

Where to Find Mercury in Crimson Desert

  • Mercury can be found at a pool in the Smoking Lands Hearth, far north of the “N” in “Demeniss” and north of the Hexe Sanctuary (which we have tagged on the map above).
  • There’s a small pool of water here, and you’ll notice that it has a silver shine to it, unlike other pools of water on the map.
  • Below, you’ll find out exactly how you can turn this water into Mercury for an infinite source of materials.

How to Get Mercury in Crimson Desert

  • To get Mercury, you will need Frost Lv 1, which is obtained from the Path of Trials Abyss Puzzle (and you can find a full guide to acquiring Frost in the link).
  • Once you have Frost Lv 1, you will need to purchase two skills with Abyss Artifacts:
    • Charged Shot
    • Elemental Imbuement Lv 2 (Elemental Charged Shot)
  • Now that you have these skills, hold Right on the D-Pad to open the Function Wheel, where you can now select Frost as your new Spirit element.
  • With a bow and arrow, aim (L2/LT) at the Mercury pool, and then use a Charged Shot (R2/RT).
  • Using a Frost Charged Shot will freeze the Mercury, which will then break into pieces that you can collect.
  • This can be repeated an infinite number of times, so that you always have a source of Mercury.

Using Mercury, you can create special items like Platinum Bars. We’ve even put together a guide to help you, which you can find here.
