How to Unlock the Warthog Mount in Crimson Desert

The Rock Tusk Warthog is a rare mount found in the jungles of Delesyia in Crimson Desert. You’ll encounter it ridden by a powerful ogre boss who wanders an area between outposts south of the Bordig Ruins. Defeating the boss will reward you with an item you can convert into a Sigil. Use the Sigil to summon and ride your own Warthog mount in Crimson Desert.

How to Get the Warthog Mount in Crimson Desert

You’ll face a tough boss named Ravok of the Savage Fangs. He’s a huge ogre riding a massive boar and attacks with a powerful cannon – stay alert! Like the boss required to get the Ibex mount in Crimson Desert, Ravok appears as part of a quest, but you don’t need to finish any other tasks beforehand to challenge him.

Master of the Wetlands is a quest given by the Lords of the Unclaimed Lands faction in the Crimson Desert.

Figuring out how to unlock things in the game can be tricky, so you might not see the warthog mount right away depending on how far you’ve gotten. We discovered Ravok by exploring south of the Bordig Ruins, but we did this after finishing the main story in the Crimson Desert. We also found Ravok after we’d already unlocked the legendary wolf, bear, and ibex mounts.

While Ravok isn’t a particularly difficult boss on his own, the fight takes place in an area overrun with ogres, including more warthog riders. Because of this, we highly recommend making sure your character is well-equipped and has plenty of Abyss Artifacts before you attempt the fight. These will significantly increase your power and make the encounter much more manageable.

This boss is simple to defeat! When he runs, quickly dodge twice in a row (Quickstep), then attack with a Stab, followed by a Turning Slash. Using Quickstep and Stab together is a fast way to get close to him.

Unlocking the Warthog Mount

After you defeat Ravok, you’ll receive a Rock Tusk Warthog Molar. Take this molar to any of the witches in the Crimson Desert, and they can craft it into a Sigil of Solidarity for you.

  1. Speak with a witch.
  2. Select the Craft Abyss Gear option.
  3. Switch the selection menu to the Special Items tab.
  4. Craft the Sigil of Solidarity (Rock Tusk Warthog) item.

Once you’ve created the sigil, find it in your inventory and use it. This will add the Rock Tusk Warthog to your list of available mounts. You can choose your mount by holding down the F1 key (or using the D-Pad Up on controllers) to open the mount selection menu.

The Rock Tusk Warthog doesn’t have as much stamina as other mounts, so it’s not ideal for traveling long distances. But it can perform a Charge attack even while stationary, which is perfect for players who prefer fighting from horseback. Like the Silver Fang mount in Crimson Desert, it also has only one slot for armor.
