Recently, a survey was conducted among Japanese readers about which manga series they desired to be turned into an anime adaptation. A significant number of enthusiasts took part in this poll, yet the findings were only revealed recently.
Kota Kawae’s manga “The Nue’s Exorcist” took the top spot, generating excitement among fans who are eager to see it animated. With this win, there’s a high probability that “The Nue’s Exorcist” will be adapted into an anime series soon. Given that Shueisha is seeking new titles to step up and fill the gap left by the conclusion of “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “My Hero Academia”, this seems like a promising candidate.

1) The popularity of Nue’s Exorcist could make it a major success, prompting studios to vie for the rights to create this anime. If Nue’s Exorcist achieves the fame enjoyed by Jujutsu Kaisen, Shueisha will find one fewer concerns on their plate.
The characters in Nue’s Exorcist and Jujutsu Kaisen face supernatural threats – spirits for Nue’s Exorcist and curses for Jujutsu Kaisen. These entities are invisible to ordinary people, a commonality between the two series.
Nue’s Exorcist Has A Lot Of Potential

The serialization of “Nue’s Exorcist” in Weekly Shonen Jump started in May 2023. This series is unique because it’s being published simultaneously in English by Manga Plus and Viz Media, which makes it easier for fans to read. Notably, renowned authors like Takahiro, creator of popular titles such as Akame ga Kill!!, Chained Soldier, and Yuki Yuna Is a Hero, have given their endorsement to “Nue’s Exorcist”.
The story revolves around a young character named Gakuro Yajima, who can perceive ghostly entities. Yet, this talent does not sit well with him, as he was horrified by the sight of a spirit carrying out a grisly deed against one of his loved ones.
