In the game Graveyard Keeper, a key goal is maintaining the cemetery. You’ll do this by properly burying bodies, creating flowerbeds, and especially by fixing up old, decorative graves and tombstones. Players begin with a small supply of Wood and Stone Repair Kits to get started on the dilapidated graveyard they’ve inherited, but they’ll need to gather many more to complete the task.
You can get Repair Kits in Graveyard Keeper in two ways: you can buy the wooden ones from the carpenter, or you can craft both types yourself. While crafting is cheaper over time, it requires unlocking certain technologies and building the necessary structures first.
Where To Buy Repair Kits In Graveyard Keeper
As much as I love keeping things looking good in Graveyard Keeper, it’s a bit of a bummer that you can only actually buy Wood Repair Kits. And honestly, even if Stone Repair Kits were available, I bet they’d cost an arm and a leg – probably not worth it for a perfectionist like me!
Where To Buy Wood Repair Kits
- Tress the Carpenter
- Cost: 25 Bronze
You can find Tress, the carpenter, a little northeast of the village tavern, in the northern part of town. On the map, he’s marked by a small building with a log symbol. He’s located just south of the woodcutter and sells items like Wood Repair Kits, various types of wood, and eventually better tools as you progress.
I’ve noticed that while buying things, the price goes up just a little bit with each additional item. It’s not a huge jump, but it adds up. Like, a single Wood Repair Kit is 25 Bronze, which is great, but if I want to grab two, it costs 53 Bronze instead. It’s still reasonable, but good to know!
How To Craft Repair Kits In Graveyard Keeper
You can make Repair Kits using wood and stone, but first you’ll need to research the necessary technology and construct the right crafting stations outside your home.
How To Craft Wooden Repair Kits
- Tech: Sawing, Woodworking
- Equipment: Sawhorse, Carpenter’s Workbench
- Materials: 3 Flitch, 1 Wooden Plank, 2 Nails
Okay, so once you’ve unlocked the ‘Sawing’ tech, things get really useful. You can finally build a Sawhorse in your yard, and that’s a game-changer. Suddenly, those logs you’ve been hauling back aren’t just taking up space! You can process them right there and turn each one into six Flitch. It’s a bit of work getting the logs from the trees to your yard, but the payoff is definitely worth it.
Once you unlock the Woodworking technology, you can build a Carpenter’s Workbench. You’ll need this workbench to initially create Wooden Planks from Flitches. After that, you can use the workbench to craft a Wood Repair Kit.
Players can get Nails either by purchasing them from the blacksmith located in the southeast part of the village, or by crafting them themselves using a Wooden Anvil. Crafting them requires unlocking additional technology and gathering the necessary resources.
How To Craft Stone Repair Kits
- Tech: Stoneworking
- Equipment: Stone Cutter
- Materials: 1 Piece of Stone, 2 Simple Iron Parts, 1 Clay
To make Stone Repair Kits, you first need to research and build a Stone Cutter in your yard. Finding individual stones is easy, but you’ll need Simple Iron Parts, which you can either buy from the Blacksmith or create yourself using a Wooden Anvil.
Clay is difficult to obtain – you’ll need to research how to dig for it using the Study Table. But the Study Table isn’t available right away; you first need to improve your Graveyard’s quality to level 5 by completing a task for the Bishop. Because of this, it’s best to concentrate on decorating with wood early in the game. While working towards that, you can also begin farming in Graveyard Keeper.
